Silly question, has anyone started to think about their birth plan yet? I'm 28+2 and have a consultant appointment this Friday and just wondered if anyone else has got their birth plan ready and if so, what format does it need to be in? Like is there a form somewhere that I need to fill out? 🤣

Depends where you're being treated, I'm in Lancashire and we have the Badger Notes app where you can add your preferences etc. you could also write them down and pass them to your midwife and your next appointment.

Just write them down as you go. You can make changes as far along as you like. I think they just like to know you’re thinking about what you want.
Mine were “don’t offer induction. If a risk to me and the baby arises simply book in for c-section. Water birth. Don’t die. No episiotomy. Open to drugs. Don’t die. (Twice because it was very important to me 😂)
This time it’s home birth, gas and air again. Open to hospital. Open to balloon mechanical induction (no medical induction). No c-section (didn’t have one last time so really don’t want one this time)

Not a silly question! Feel like no one really tells you now’s the time or gives you a deadline to (in my experience.) I don’t think there’s an official format, can just be any document like a word document, that’s what my friend who’s v organised did and she sent it to me to change for my own. Hers was just her name and details at the top, then a list of all preferences clearly written. Last time I just wrote mine by hand.. and they accepted it didn’t say anything 🤷♀️
