All are true šŸ˜‚ kids should always defend themselves if someone hits them, it is the teachers fault for not noticing bullying also! I hope their parents are reasonable if you speak to them x

If they hit you hit them back. Also, tell the teacher 🤣

Only hit back if you have no other option. Hitting back can escalate the violence then they hurt you more. I actually think it's ridiculous how many parents on here select "hit back" when these polls come around because there are usually other options and violence is rarely the right course of action. We are going to put our daughter in a martial arts group of some sort when she's a little bit bigger so she can learn to defend herself if she needs to, but why tell a toddler in particular to hit? How do they judge that scenario? All small children are learning, I think it's better that a toddler is spoken to by an adult than just hit by another toddler, that's not learning it's just showing everyone hits. A toddler could hit another by accident, people really want their child to respond by punching the other toddler in the face? And as they get older, they can be strong and stand up for themselves with their words not their fists.

Tell the teacher, tell me, and stay away from the kid.

Am I being unreasonable?

We are due our second baby in October and I’ve asked my husband if he could take over the finance planning and meal planning and LO’s birthday and Christmas presents for November and December. He said no, saying am purposely setting him up for failure. He said that apparently am only doing this because i usually start Christmas and birthday shopping during the summer holidays and because I haven’t done that, am setting him up. I was originally planning on starting all the birthday and Christmas shopping during the school holidays but unfortunately my dad passed away unexpectedly at the end of June and it completely threw me off everything and my whole life has been turned upside down. Not once since my dad passed away has my husband offered to take the load off me like meal planning or finance management, he literally came to me 4 days after my dad passed away and was asking me what’s the finances was looking like so he had a few stuff he wanted to order so I had to look into that for him. I’m currently under my prenatal mental health team because since my dad passed, my mental health has declined to the point where my midwife is having weekly conversations with me about potentially going on antidepressants to manage with everything! Since my dad passed I haven’t done anything to get ready for the new baby and I’ve constantly asked my husband for help with sorting baby stuff out and it feels like am in this alone. I’m 31 weeks and nothing has been done so panic is settling in. All am asking is that he takes over those things for November and December so I can just breathe and get a break for a bit from the mental load. I will still be doing the day to day stuff like cleaning and keeping on top of everything but he hears that as me saying I won’t be anything for 2 months and just lazy around… which is far from the truth. My house is always clean, even when am unwell or has been traveling…I always make sure everything is in order and I would still have a newborn and a toddler to entertain and feed but in his mind, I’m gonna so absolutely nothing for 2 months and that am purposely setting him up for failure! I’ve already decided to do the finances stuff til October just so I can make sure all the baby stuff is sorted in time. I feel so overwhelmed at the moment and I just want to be able to shut off from this stuff just a bit so I can breathe and be present for my little ones. His mum has been absolutely amazing at helping me and supporting me through this season but she has her own life and can’t just keep dropping everything to come help me. I feel so lost and guilty for speaking up for myself because of his reaction to me asking him to help me for 2 months with the finances, meal planning, birthday and Christmas stuff!

How do I explain to my BD that he can't take our 4 year old daughter into the men's room because that is unsafe?!

Starting foods

Anyone starting solids at 4 months. While I know best practice says 6 months, other general guidelines say 4-6. I thought freezing purĆ©es would be a fun way to start. I freeze his milk to help with teething so the feeder is familiar to him already. Is there actually any harm in starting now- I couldn’t find definitive research one way or the other

Teething

Anyone got any remedies for teething? I’ve tried a few things but nothing seems to work for her

Using Ashton and parsons powder but that doesn’t seem to be doing anything for her 🫄

So sad

For 5 years I have kept my son’s hospital band and umbilical cord in a zip lock as a keepsake. I always kept it inside of his drawer however I just had my baby girl and they share a room together so I cleared one dresser out two months ago now and it’s been on my mind to put them into keep safe boxes. I did find my baby girls umbilical cord and hospital band but now I can’t find my sons. I’m scared that I have thrown it out. I don’t know how to feel. I am crying because I don’t want him to feel like I didn’t care about his even though that’s not the case and now I feel like I don’t even want to keep hers … i know this isn’t a ā€œbig dealā€ but I feel like a shitty mom.
