Naps

Is anyone else finding putting baby down for naps really hard especially the midday / afternoon nap! Honestly I’m at my wits end at the moment and want to scream. It’s all just impossible.

After nearly an hour of fighting it I’ve finally just got mine to fall asleep, I’m too scared to put him in his crib so this might be a contact nap for me 🫠 he fights them most days it feels like

If they are fighting that much, maybe they just aren’t tired enough. Have you tried a little later? 🥰

Our afternoon nap tends to be in the car or the pram for this exact reason

I’m so so tired of him fighting this nap. This one is especially bad but I’m wondering if it’s peak separation anxiety as it’s the same going down for the first nap (sometimes) and bed but this second nap of the day is especially bad.

Fought it for an hour today! Gruelling.

I’ve resorted to all naps in the pram (apart from night time). She will not nap in her cot during the day so I’ve given up fighting it.

My LO is also fighting with his naps, so its super late now. Wakes up at 4:30pm and goes to sleep at 9:30 🫣🫣🫣 at least he sleep over an hour, so i cant complain

It is reassuring that we’re not the only ones battling naps but my goodness it is so tough and exhausting!

Contact naps

At what age do contact naps become less regular? Don’t get me wrong, I love how serene he looks and love that he feels safest with me and 75% of the time it’s actually nice to just sit down with him and enjoy the moment. However, there are some days where I just feel a little drained from the constant-ness of it and I feel like I’m trying to get things done/look after my needs in his wake windows when he’s happy to go in his chair and watch me but then feel terrible for the lack of interaction with him where he’s my sole focus and tummy time, etc.

Soo, what are we doing with our babies?

Morning everyone! Just wondering what a typical day looks like for you? How often is your baby on a play mat or in a bouncer etc?

I'm not really sure what my wake windows should look like and how long she should spend in my arms or on her play mat etc Per wake window / day.

Nursing Chairs

Hey everyone! I wonder whether I can get some people’s opinions on nursing chairs.. Are they worth it? Do you actually use them? ☺️

How are we doing naps? Wake windows? Sleepy cue? Rocking? Feeding? Dark room? Bright room?

5am wake ups!

My 10 month old keeps waking up at 5am and we can’t figure out why. He’s usually asleep by 7.30pm and then seems to wake up at 5am. He will then fuss for an hour and eventually falls back asleep. I know it’s not the fact he goes to sleep at 7.30am because we’ve tried later times and it’s not light in his room because we have blackout blinds. Can’t seem to figure out why it’s 5am that he wakes up??
