Hi, I am 8 weeks postpartum and I noticed one week ago a hole in scar after c section. I went to GP, they say nothing major. Has any experienced this before, any recommendations as it’s not getting any better.

Same thing happened and gp took a swab but nothing came back so assumed no infection. Just give it time to air out every night, keep it clean with non fragranced body wash and it should heal fine. If you’re in pain then mention to the gp

When I had a hole I was referred to the tissue nurse at my GP’s who dressed it for me every 3 days until it healed. Maybe ask for a second appointment at the GP’s if worried and ask if you can be referred.

Same happened to me but they just told me to keep it clean and gave me antibiotics just in case. Dry very well with non sterile gauze or cotton pads and should be alright

I had this and they said it was a hair folicule, they swabbed and nothing came back just said to keep it dry and clean xx
Thank you all.

I had a hole with my 3rd. I was under tissue viability team due to needing a vac dressing as mine kept producing fluid for weeks. They would clean and dress it along with district nurses. For a good 10 weeks. But had the hole for 18 weeks

I had this for MONTHS, it was cell displacement. After trying to let it heal with dressings and keeping it dry, it wasn’t working so the doctor advised steroid cream. I got some 5% steroid cream from over the counter at pharmacy and it went within 3 days!

I had the same too! I went on a drip and had two different types of antibiotics, eventually it cleared. I found the Frida c section strips very good to help.
I’m due December 11th but may possibly have to have baby November 20th now.
Is it too early to start buying for my hospital bag?!
It’s baby number 4, you’d think I’m an expert by now😂 any must haves for bags people can think of?! Attached my list so far!

Hello all,
(12w1d here)
I recently downloaded the app because my parter said it will be better for my mood.
I’m felling quite stressed, no energy to talk a part from work. I’m not calling anymore to my friends or family, I do not even have patience or energy to reply their messages. It’s makes me feel bed about it, because I’m not like that.
Has anyone been through this?
❤️ thank you

months of prepping for a water birth and i ended up having to be induced then an emergency c section since baby boy decided he didn't want to come anymore😂 im only 16 days pp but since coming home i've been constantly up and moving about. i don't think i've processed how traumatic the birth was yet since my family and partner haven't really sympathised with what i went through at all
any tips or advice for coping ? should i even bother with talking therapies?

Unfortunately my care pathway has changed as my midwife is going to be on vacation for the rest of my pregnancy (to be clear this does NOT bother me, well deserved). And sadly there are no midwife appointments available at my GP, so I have to go to a children's center. The only thing I'm worried about is privacy, as I have attended baby massage classes there and it's just a big open room and I don't remember there being any other private rooms there. I'm worried about how they will do any checks, measurements or even sweeps (if offered). Wondering if any other UK Mums had this happen?

Unsure what I should choose… I have weighed up all the pros and cons and still don’t know what is best for me. I’ve heard positive and negative birth stories for both but I’m so scared and not sure what I should choose.
