Anyone got advice on breastfeeding second child?
I had an awful experience breastfeeding my daughter and ended up using formula within 2 weeks. My son is nearly 3 weeks old and we are successfully breastfeeding, but my gosh the mum guilt is so strong because I can’t just be with my daughter when she wants/ needs me. I also feel like I miss out playing with her when my son needs feeding. I desperately want to keep breastfeeding but equally I want to give up too because bottle feeding gives me that flexibility. I don’t want to pump because I found that last time equally as time consuming.

I’m now nearly 8 weeks in and it’s getting easier bcos the feeds are shorter so I don’t feel as guilty on my first, I ask her to bring books over or toys over or I do use the tv when I feel I need to. If for example my daughter needs me to wipe her bum I do put baby down and attend to her it’s hard to get the balance but it is getting easier

You will feel guilt regardless, that is unfortunately something we feel when we have our second child. Even if you formula feed you will still take time to make the bottles, wash the bottles, sterilise the bottles and feed them to baby and wind them for longer. Breastfeeding can take longer in the beginning if baby is cluster feeding but generally uses less time overall. The mum guilt will get better you just need to stop being so hard on yourself.

After about 3 months old the feeds become a lot quicker and less often, so I would push through, it's just a short session of your daughter's life right now
It's not toward the baby but my husband

This is so hard. Witching hour is more like ‘5 hours’ and sometimes is just off and on all day. It’s so stressful and I feel so helpless some days. She screams and it goes right through me. I’m lucky that it’s not crying non stop like colic, it’s off and on, but it’s still horrendous. We’re at at 10 weeks, does it ever change???

Had my baby boy 5 days ago and had an episiotomy as baby wasn’t coming out just had the midwife out and my stiches have came away but no sign of infection but am still really sore especially when going to the toliet. If anyone has had anything similar how long did it take to heal or generally just stop being as sore
