My husband and I have talked extensively about possibly having our kids 18 months apart or 22 months apart. We want them close in age. I’m 6 months post partum so if we wanted them 18 months apart I’d have to conceive at 10 months post partum and if 22 months I’d have to conceive in march of 2027. I am wondering what are peoples opinions on having two under 2 and if you’ve done it would you do it again? I was c-section for my first due to hip pain as I had prior hip surgeries so my hips had limited range of motion but even when they went and delivered my first they said due to the size of head and how tightly wedged and engaged he was I wouldn’t have been able to deliver him naturally. So I’d likely need another c section which I’m fine with if it gets the baby here safely.
Side note: due to trauma with anesthesia team I am looking for a different provider and have an appointment set up to meet one. For context I was poked 7 times with an IV needle even after the 3rd time when I asked for them to call the IV team and then I was subjected to 3 spinal pokes because they missed twice. And my partner got separated from me while the anesthesia placement happened even though I was told weeks before I could have him there and then they didn’t update him at all when those failed spinal happened he didn’t find out till a day later when I was able to talk about it.

I have 3, all close in ages. The gap between my eldest and middle is 11 months, middle and youngest, 18 months.
I honestly loved the continuation of the baby bubble!
Now 35 weeks with number 4, but my current youngest is nearly 6.
I’d of had a similar age gap if it was down to me. Hope this helps x
I am 3.5 months pp and I have a 2 year old. The gap between my 2 is 23 months. Personally, I think now with hindsight I would have had a larger gap of say 4 years. Age 2 is very challenging in my experience ( lots of big emotions and tantrums) and that coupled with recovery , sleep deprivation and looking after a newborn has been tough. I still enjoy it but have found this transition harder . I predict it will be a lot easier when both get older though x
I have 2.5 years exactly and could have done with the extra 6 months as my eldest became so much more dependent at 3. It was a huge strain after a csection as my LG didn’t understand and always wanted picking up and wasn’t gentle. I can only imagine if she was any younger on my own when my husband when back to work!

I have an 18 month gap, both c-sections, and wouldn’t change it! For us it was intentional, but people will call you crazy 😅 Mine are 2 and 3 now and thick as thieves
I have a 2.5 year old and 12 week old and at the moment it is super hard! I’m looking forward to when my baby is a bit older though as I think it’ll be great then. Good luck 😊

C-section recovery
Hey girls, I had a c section last Tuesday so I’m currently on day 3 of recovery and I do not know how to cope. I feel like I can’t do anything, move , laugh, cough and it’s absolutely horrible. I had a mental breakdown when I first got home today from the hospital as I just felt so useless and in so much pain. I’ve had everything checked over and it’s completely healthy I just think it’s all in the brain. Any tips? As I think I’m losing my mind

Pink discharge
Hi, I’m 11 weeks it’s 1am and I went to the toilet and wiped pink, I’m also having cramping. I had a miscarriage in May. Baby was healthy at an 8 week scan. I’m on the phone to NHS 24 but sitting on hold. Does anyone have a reassurance about this?

Ninewells hospital
Hey ladies, just wondering if anyone has recently had a baby at Ninewells hospital? I'm working on the hospital bag and I don't know what to bring for baby! I had my first born two years ago and completely forgot what they provide for the baby in terms of nappies etc.

Spotting
Hi, I have pink spotting after sex, it’s only when I wipe. I’m 8 weeks on Sunday but I also went though a misscarrige in Feb at this stage but wasn’t ever pink. Also have a toddler who’s 2.5 so can’t remember spotting pink when I had him. Anyone else have this?
