I keep thinking that if the roles were reversed, I would be such a better husband. I feel like I'm a lot more thoughtful than my husband, I get him small things from the store or a food he's been "craving" while I'm the one thats pregnant! I cook 100% of the time and clean 95%. I dont work so I guess he beats me on that. We have a 3 year old and only one car so I'm stuck with a baby while 7 months pregnant. When my husband comes home, he asks to take a nap, which I say yes nearly 100% of the time because I know how exhausted the day can make us. I just feel sad because I dont get offered a back massage or a foot massage. Like ever. Or a small gift. Or a "thanks for carrying my child!" Like I don't even feel pregnant and I feel a little taken advantage of.
He says he just forgets or doesnt think about me all the time and am I insane for being hurt by that??

He can’t read your mind and if there is something he’s not doing that you’d like him to do… ask. I know it’s the “but he should think of it anyway” thing that’s bothering you but honestly that’s just not productive or realistic lol. A lot of men don’t just give spontaneous gifts and foot rubs. (It would be cool, I wish my husband did for sure, but I don’t think that’s standard?! Lol)

The highest form of love is consideration.
You’re not crazy for feeling the way you do.
As the saying goes, if he wanted to, he would. Simple fact is he doesn’t care. Majority of men are selfish and only think of themselves.
PS just because he has a job and earns money doesn’t mean you staying at home equals shit. Don’t gaslight yourself, your work is unpaid but you save the family money in childcare, cleaning, housekeeper etc. If you weren’t around he’d still have to work. He’s not doing anything extraordinary.

Say no to the nap sometimes and ask for a foot rub girl. They dont read minds but some of them are good at following orders or meeting clear expectations. Also, youre pregnant. Which doesn't mean youre crazy, just that you deserve a foot rub.
Tell that man what you want! He works but so does you! On the house and your child!!

There is no excuse for why he doesn't do these things. I was working full time at my job until around 38 weeks pregnant whilst my husband is a stay at home dad, and I still would remember these things. He would also give me back massages etc x

If you want something ask for it. If you want him to think of you for little treats like a snack, tell him.
But him saying he doesn't think about you is fucked up. You're his wife, he should always think of you. You guys built a life together, and continue to make it grow. You're his most important ally. People in relationships can easily become complacent, sounds like he may need a gentle reminder not to be.

I totally think he should be nore considerate and not need to be prompted or asked for things all the time. Maybe next time he wants a nap say "yes, but can I have a foot rub first?" Lol and then also let him know it would be nice if he could give you a massage at the end of the night or when he gets home. Even say that your back and feet have been killing you and it would help so much lol. If he has a problem with that then its def an issue but maybe try to throw him a bone lol

I think we teach people how to treat us. Why are you saying yes 100% of the time when u mean no? We have to learn to prioritize ourselves regardless of how it makes others feel sometimes. And if your husband isnt super thoughtful…. take the guess work out and just ask him. Ask… and let him respond. “Hey can u pick me up a candy bar on the way home?” “Ima go get a milkshake for an hour when you get home… ive had a rough day.” “Can I have a back massage when u wake up from your nap.”
You have to play an active role in having your cup filled. And as he serves u… he will learn u…. And potentially just start doing some things out of habit. Take the lemons and make some lemonade dear. First take care of you. Youre pregnant. You also care for a lil person.

That not you being a better husband than him.. it’s just being more considerate.

He is obviously not kind or thoughtful towards you. That's sad.
Start saying no.

Why are you doing 💯 of the cooking and cleaning? What hours does he work?
If you tell him you're tired and need a nap, is he cool with that? Do you get time to yourself? How is he with the kids?
I get that some men don't always think to be thoughtful with gifts or a footrub, but it sounds like you're doing way too much here and when that second baby comes it's going to be hard and he's going to have to knock those naps on the head when he gets home from work
I am having my first child in December and currently getting things for the nursery.
Do you think nursing chairs are needed?

So I have a friend who I would have considered a best friend - friends since we was 16 - we’re now 33/32 years old. We used to speak daily , catch up every few weeks and go out every so many months just us . I’d say the past 8months she hasn’t been bothered to keep in touch or make effort . I moved 1hour and half away and asked her to help me watch kids as i would of had to bring them with me in 2 vans doing a mutual swap with 2 other houses and she said no to go out with another friend on a train. She used to be pretty good at helping ( which I barely ever asked for ) any way since then she’s visited once which I was shocked about tbf. I had surgery where I had a mummy make over in another country.she messaged me the day of and said when Is it again and I had just woke up and then she still took until the next day to reply . She then asked my partner to translate something rather than ask how I am “. She messages more to ask for money than to actually just chat and catch up . I’ve been saying no because I feel used at this point . Ive been giving her benefit of the doubt because her brother died and I kept thinking maybe i wasn’t doing enough . But when it happened i had her child , I took all her favourite things around and tried to be there. It’s a year later now and she’s still fixated on it as she doesn’t know how it happened which again I understand but she still has been going out and not inviting me ( we was always the 2 to go out and then others might tag along ) she was having party’s at her house I didn’t even know. Which again I’m not bitter but I really don’t get it. I’m getting married next year and I bought a maid of honour box with gifts and I still haven’t give it her as I don’t think she’s that bothered anyways. My sister has been the same , wouldn’t help with my kids and watched me struggle when I moved. I genuinely feel like I’m living my best life , I’ve lost weight , moved far away from our rubbish area , met some one I’m crazy about and just got my dream job but also lost my Best friend and my sister. I’m at a point where I think we will just elope rather than waste money to have people there who genuinely couldn’t care less . Anyways am I being too sensitive ? I’m meant to be visiting the weekend even tho I’m only a few weeks post op to make effort but she probably couldn’t care less. What do I do ? Or think ?

Baby girl was born on Monday evening at 22.35 after a rather long, exhausting labour (she just didn’t want to come into the world that day)! We were discharged yesterday and have been home since, to be honest last night wasn’t even so bad. Today however, she’s been feeding almost all day (cluster feeding, sometimes for an hour and a half, other times for 10 min!) and since I’m breastfeeding I have some “cracking” problems, as well as latch and attachment issues, which the midwives will call me about tomorrow morning. We gave her formula a few times as well and she just seems constantly hungry, so I of course panic I don’t produce enough collostrum (milk hasn’t come in yet)!to keep her full. I’m sore all over, totally inlove with her and totally overwhelmed. Every time she cries, I cry and I constantly worry if she’s getting enough to eat. My husband is my absolute hero and rock and the best dad ever. I just feel..alone in the motherly feelings and hormones and emotions I’m going through and honestly don’t know how to not panic. Also, how to keep her warm enough? Different midwives told us different things and it’s all just so confusing. 😭
I apologize for the long post 😕 many mothers around offered advice and help, I just don’t feel like I can text them at 1.30am and melt down…

Hi all! Just wondering if anyone in the area wants to go for a coffee or walkies any time?
I really need to get out the house and meet people, go out and do stuff! I unfortunately don’t have a car and haven’t been able to use much public transport as it’s been giving me major anxiety but I’ll try my best to travel to anywhere local! SW area 🫶
