Posting as incognito because I feel ashamed of how I’m feeling. I’m 34+1, I realise I have a while to go but just in floods of tears almost every day because I feel so sore and heavy and like I can’t do anything. I feel like my legs and hips are going to pop out their sockets when I walk and like I’ve been weight training every single day. I don’t know what to do anymore I’ve just sat and cried all evening because I don’t want to do it any longer. Is there anything to help with pain and discomfort or is there any medical reason I’m like this. I was having bad period type cramps all day yesterday but haven’t had anything today other than feeling I can’t even stand up without feeling like my whole body hurts. Is there anything doctors/ consultants/ midwives can do.

I'm 28 + 3 and I know how you're feeling. My belly is so heavy and feels so stretched/tight. I walk about 5 steps and feel like I can't go any further. I wake up constantly in the night with pain in my hips. I haven't found anything to ease the discomfort yet but if you have a triage number, it may be worth calling the midwife just to see if they can help you.

I'm 34+2 and get you. I would heavily recommend seeing a GP as it could be low vitamin or mineral levels. Even something like low vitamin D and vitamin B12 can make your body ache and mood drop without the pregnancy.
I know you've described physical pain, but did you speak to the Ocean's team at the NHS between weeks 8 and 12? They're like the mental health midwives. I would recommend seeing if you can reach out to them as well for mental load support.

34 exactly today with baby no.2, not ashamed to say i hate being pregnant and totally get how you feel. Sadly it's just this until the end comes now but if the period pain feeling intensifies and comes in shorter waves it may mean labour is coming so make sure you keep your midwife posted & defo look into a contraction tracker app as well

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and I was on the border of not coping yesterday just feeling so tired, tight stomach sore hips, acid reflux etc. I was thinking how can I do another 3 months?! I had an iron infusion and B12 injection so those are fine now so I do feel better than I was. Its just hard! Xx

Oh bless you, I know this probably isn’t much help but this is completely normal, you are not on your own. Can you speak to a midwife for some advice on pain relief?

Trust me, you’re not the only one. I think it’s magical once you feel the first flutters and then kicks… after that it’s reshuffling your organs on the inside.
I felt horrible and in pain from like 30+ weeks, was terrified of the stairs because I thought one morning I won’t be able to get downstairs. Counted down days until my C-section which was booked at 39weeks.
He’s 1.5y now and it got better after he was born. x
Second baby, 38+1 and managed to get 2x 1ml syringes. It did take about half an hour though 😂
Starting later than I did in my first pregnancy, partially because I don’t want to go into labour yet but also because I just haven’t found the time!

How accurate have peoples growth scans been? I had a scan at 40+1 and they said the baby is measuring 8.15lb! At 36 weeks she was measuring 6.2lb, so this seems like a massive jump! From the 43rd percentile to 95th! Those who were told they were having big babies, were they born big? I'm only 4'11ft, husband is 6ft and all his family were big babies😭😂

Is it just me or does it feel like the hospital push the idea of inductions on everyone. I can't tell you the amount of people that have had it or are planning to have one.
What is the reason for this?

Currently pregnant and finding out the gender in a few weeks. If it's another boy we have always loved the name Taylor but is this setting us up for a life of people thinking we're die hard swifties (we absolutely are not) even if both boys? 🙈
Also open to suggestions as we found boys names super tough first time around! Not stuck on it having to be another T either
