Baby sling/ carrier recommendations

Can anyone recommend a baby carrier/ sling?

I didn’t use one much with my first but I’m due to have my second soon and I’m thinking with 2 under 2 it will be useful to have my hands free and actually use one.

I don’t want to spend a fortune considering I didn’t use it last time but equally want something easy to get baby in and out of and comfortable wearing for me.

Thanks in advance.

I absolutely loved the momcozy wrap carrier I got it from vinted for around £10. It was so easy to use and super comfortable then we got a manduca one (also from vinted) which I found a little harder to fasten by myself but was really comfortable to carry for long periods of time x

Can you visit a sling library? They'll be able to let you try loads before you buy so you know what style works for you. Just google "sling library" Followed by your town or city xx

Missing my old life

I feel awful writing this. Me and my lovely husband haven’t been together long - 14 months which I know sounds crazy! I love him so much. We have a 5 week old who I adore more than anything. But I miss it being just me and my husband so much. We’re snapping at each other and I feel stressed all the time. It was a really difficult pregnancy towards the end and this is maybe even more difficult. I’m mourning the ease of our old life (which I know didn’t last long!!) I’m a bit sensitive and wanted to just put this out there. Any insights?

Do you believe that if your child looks put together - hair done , clean face , fresh clothes etc that they get better treatment than a kid in a mismatched outfit , crazy hair and messy face

Had a debate about this with a friend

Honest question

When your child is having a tantrum... Do you ever just think in your head shut the hell up?

I feel bad for thinking it. But I'm only human. Thankfully I don't project and remain patient on the exterior. But interior I'm shouting in my head

Tell me why???

The first thing I think of (after are they ok) when my husband says he's at the ER because our son got stung half a dozen times by wasps was "where are his glasses? He can't see without his glasses"

My son doesn't wear glasses.

He's fine btw

Apologies if this seems petty

I have an almost 2 year old daughter
She’s my whole life I adore her

I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday
We found out we’re having another daughter & I absolutely weeped like I mourned a son that was never meant for me
I dreamed up an entire world with my daughter & this second child being a son & it’s hit me so hard knowing now that won’t be my reality

I’m finding it really difficult to accept

Has anyone felt this way
I see all kinds of families around me with & without children with boys with girls with a mix etc

I am so grateful for everything I have
I just can’t help this feeling
My heart aches

2 year old sleeping

If you go on holiday or sleep at grandparents house, what would you do if your 2 year old can literally only sleep in their own (dark) room in their own bed without noise but it might not be the case if you’re going away? Like how do they sleep if it’s not easy they’re used to in your own home?
