Hi I’m electing for a c section I have a few questions if anyone can help. I am having my c section at russles hall.
Will I have to take my tongue piercing out? And ear piercings?
Can my partner stay over night?
Are you kept on a ward with other people or a private room?
Is there anything you recommend for the hospital bags?

Hey, i had my elected section at RH 8 weeks ago and i can honestly say say i was well looked after!
I felt really calm and relaxed
I don’t have piercings so can’t comment they do ask you about piercings so just tell them.
The actual procedure itself was quick and you don’t feel anything.
I was in 18c it’s the furthest room away you could get but it was a bay of 4 other mommas who had also had sections
I had my mom do me up some cobs for later as you will be hungry take plenty of snacks
Partners can now stay overnight however not all rooms have beds just uncomfortable arm chairs
Don’t be afraid to ask for pain relief should you need it…. It’s good stuff and when your home maintain meds or you will know about it , keep up the cleaning of your wound or you will get an infection i did despite following the instructions.
Take an eye mask should you be able to get some sleep, possibly ear plugs as it can be loud with slamming doors, babies screaming, nurses in and out. X
Are the risks are as bad as they say they are

The hospital called me and told me to come in at 7am instead of 7:30am, however they also said I would be coming in with 6 other women and the list won't be made until we are all admitted (understandable). The theatre is open from 8 or 8:30am until 7:30pm and they don't do electives on the weekend. What are estimated odds I will actually get to meet my little one tomorrow? Just worried as I am not allowed even water from 7am on

I went into triage for reduced movement and after feeling reassured on ctg. A random dr comes in and tells me I should deliver today as at term.
Like wtf - midwife said it’s protocol for them to say that
I’m so annoyed
I have C-section booked for Tuesday so part of me just wants to go with that now

I’m 38 weeks and at my appt she said baby’s head down but facing my side. I’m convinced he’s not head down as I can feel so much at the sides of my bump

So I went to my ob yesterday. I have been having TERRIBLE pain in my pelvic area and awful nausea. My feet are humongous and I'm retaining water. My ob thought this was all strange, so she did an ultrasound and my baby is breeched. He is kicking me right in the vagina and making me so sick. I will be 29 weeks tomorrow , so he still has time to turn around, but they want to keep an eye on him. Did anyone else go through this? What happened?
