So my eldest boy is 6 and he is really struggling with his behaviour over the summer holidays heās been so naughty and has constantly pushed buttons completely on purpose he claims he canāt control it and that his brain is bad however I canāt excuse or understand how he can do things like pour Pepsi all over his dads Ā£1400 gaming set up because he ādoesnāt like itā or smash his tv out of anger coz a game wouldnāt let him play it how he wanted heās constantly stealing things like chewing gum or snacks and then refusing to eat actual food and heās shouting at us and telling us he hates us and weāre worst parents and heās even gone as to far as attempting to hit his baby brother whoās 17 months old. Overall Iām at breaking point because this isnāt who he is yet itās all he seems to be doing lately Iām heartbroken and feel defeated and I just want my boy back and to help get to bottom of this š©š

Hang in there mama ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø, I have no advice but it will get better

Does he eat a lot of sugar? Could this disagree with him?
I think when it gets to points like this, they find that they only get attention when they're being "bad" have you tried rewarding the tiniest thing, anything honestly, we have a reward jar for my almost 6 year old and he gets a gem in when he tidies a toy away, puts his clothes in the washer etc when it's full he gets to pick a treat
Also is there consequences? He broke a TV, well no more TV. He broke a very expensive game system, well he needs to understand the cost, so he needs to sell something of his to pay for a new one
He needs follow through, you speak he listens.
How has he done on all his reviews and at school? Is his behaviour there ok?

You could send him to therapy or try to figure out why heās behaving that way.
Maybe he wants more attention and thatās why he tried to destroy the gaming system. He could feel ignored, angry, or sad about something at home or at school. Iām sure there is a reason though, especially at that age. If he was running around and energetic, then that would be one thing, but his negative behavior probably has a reason. I was teaching before I left work to have my little one,I have worked with ages 0-15. I was teaching 2nd grade right before I left. During my teaching years, I never had a kid with that type of behavior who didnāt have their own reason. Doesnāt even matter the age, they all were hurt or upset about something going on and that behavior was their cry for help or the only way they knew how to express their feelings. I would say keep trying to figure out whatās wrong.
Ok, based on another post I saw and now I'm curious.
If your teenager holds a job, at what age would you feel comfortable still calling their boss to complain about a scheduling policy that you disagree with? Or any policy that you disagree with?

i might be crazy but honestly i'm not sure, her gums feel hard and she has been drooling a ton lately. she also has been getting super fussy and hasn't been eating as long / will refuse the breast at first. she has been eating her hand (but not in a hunger way) and will eat my arm, i am just very unsure.

My 2.5 year old has suddenly started seeing monsters, everywhere, it started in the bedroom at night, still happens with a Nightlight and she still cosleeps so dont think its an attention thing to get us to stay with her as one of us already does. Then it started happening in the bedroom during the day, then the rest of the house, now out the window of the car when driving, and yesterday when we were in asda. She doesnt seem particularly distressed but it, with the exception of once when she walking into the kitchen and kind of yelpt in suprise then came and told me there was a monster in the kitchen. Im unsure what the correct action for me to take is, i know not to invalidate what she's "seeing", do i ask about the monsters, do i tell the monsters to go away? I dont really want her reliant on "monsters spray.

I know it's dependent on emergencies, just curious what time you were in the theatre if you were told to come in for 7:30am. Please even include delay times ā¤ļø also when were you told to fast from?

So my daughter had a week and a half off from nursery recently (the half was due to her having a temperature and not being able to go and the week was because I had time off so we could spend quality time together).
Sheās been back to nursery this week, has only been in for 2 days, and sheās already coming down with something and her temperature is starting to increase š¤¬
Sheās 2 years old and has been at nursery for 15 months already.
She was only ill less than 2 weeks ago.
And now sheās coming down with someone else!
I thought they were supposed to get better with not getting so ill the longer they spend at nursery? But she just keeps getting ill and itās never ending!
Weāve both taken so much time off work. I feel like I canāt look for a new job because of constantly needing to be off with her when sheās sick and my husband canāt do it due to work commitments and lack of flexibility, I just thought this was going to get easier.
Why does she have to keep fāing catching stuff!!
And then why are people continuously taking their sick kids into nursery?? Itās 2 fāing days for peep sake!! How is she possibly ill already?! Such an fāing joke!!!!!
Argh!
