My baby will be 6 weeks on Friday and she is quite a cryer but I manage to get her to calm down fair easily. However, if her dad tries to calm her, for some reason she ends up getting herself into an absolute state. This never happened with our first daughter so I don’t really know what to do. It’s exhausting knowing that even if she is fed, changed and not tired she will probably be screaming the whole time she is left with him. Makes it hard to relax and do basic things for myself like have a shower and stuff because it’s so anxiety inducing to listen to.
And to make matters worse, once she get herself into such a pickle it is then back on me to calm her back down. In all honesty I don’t feel like my partner has much patience with her and he ends up huffing and puffing when she is like this so maybe he is feeding off of his vibe? Is there a way to make this better?

At 6 weeks your baby won't be able to see very much but they'll know your smell and hear when you're not around. Could try putting something you wear near baby when they are with their dad or when she's happy having awake time try put her on a plat mat and see what shes like when you leave the room. The more time she spends with him the better it'll get 🙏

Babies definitely feed off people's emotions!
so over the course of several weeks my man has been acting really sketchy. like a little less than a week ago he went out with friends, and didn’t come home until 5 o’clock in the morning. he said he was at a car show ???
then i talked to my friend who ran into him at a bar one night. she told me that she saw him greeting a girl who walked in alone, and he took her purse and was holding it for her and they sat at the bar and were just talking and talking. once my man noticed my friend was there, he acknowledged her but then they scurried off and left.
also, he’s been going to this sushi restaurant and a dive bar to do his work “undistracted”
then i saw on his watch that he’s texting with some girl named destiny??
some of it is just sketchy. but would you consider his actions at the bar cheating? or that he’s texting some girl i’ve never heard of?

Could anyone suggest any other breakfasts I could offer my 15 month old please? We alternate between Weetabix or toast. Sometimes if there is more time I’ll make banana pancakes. He doesn’t have many teeth so limited to things that are easily chewable but I’m not sure if there are any other suitable cereals he could try

I’ve been offered work on some weekends to help with parties at a local play cafe (4-5 hours max)
My partner doesn’t think I should be doing it as I’m “missing out on family time” My partner works full time as a teacher and I’m a SAHM, he has been working extra during the holidays at clubs ect.
Surly I shouldn’t feel bad getting myself back out there again and then having “mum guilt” on missing family when I’ve been a SAHM for over two and a half years ….
Life 🫠😥

My other half works nights and our little one is now 6 weeks old. I am finding im so anxious when he leaves for work, and the last 2 nights I have worried the baby isnt breathing as he should. I think thianis actually in my head.
Does anyone else feel the same.
How do you deal with it?

I went out to eat with my friends last night and I’ve got one friend that sends food back every time. I’m not exaggerating, she complains to wait staff and management every time. Sometimes we gotta talk to her in the car about ordering what she’s accustomed too and not sending things back. One of my other friends told her, you gotta stop this shit! 🤣

Hi! My baby boy is almost 10 months and he has just started full days nursery. I work 3 days a week as a teacher and I hate every single second of it. I feel miserable leaving him and the guilt when they tell me he’s been upset at times is awful. Everyone I know with kids seems to either be stay at home mums or work incredibly flexible jobs that allow pick up to be really early. My daughter also starts school this year and she’s in breakfast and after school club.
I guess I’m just looking for reassurance that this is common and that many of us do actually have no choice but to use childcare. How do you deal with the emotions? I would give anything for another year off with my baby 😭
