I struggled really badly with this with my first baby. Unfortunately you can develop postpartum anxiety. It gets easier with time and I can imagine having a partner working nights increases it massively. Literally the only thing that helped me was getting an owlet sock but we could only do that’s because my grandparents gave us a fair bit of money when we had her to get anything we needed for her

I had this badly with my first baby. The only thing that helped other than time passing (every day / evening that the thing you’re worried about doesn’t happen… helps! I tried to remind myself of this and see each time he was ok as evidence that I was overthinking etc) was to get some talking therapy - I was referred to the mental health team by the health visitor upon my request, it really helped and it was free. There was no judgement and I could take my baby with me.
so over the course of several weeks my man has been acting really sketchy. like a little less than a week ago he went out with friends, and didn’t come home until 5 o’clock in the morning. he said he was at a car show ???
then i talked to my friend who ran into him at a bar one night. she told me that she saw him greeting a girl who walked in alone, and he took her purse and was holding it for her and they sat at the bar and were just talking and talking. once my man noticed my friend was there, he acknowledged her but then they scurried off and left.
also, he’s been going to this sushi restaurant and a dive bar to do his work “undistracted”
then i saw on his watch that he’s texting with some girl named destiny??
some of it is just sketchy. but would you consider his actions at the bar cheating? or that he’s texting some girl i’ve never heard of?

Could anyone suggest any other breakfasts I could offer my 15 month old please? We alternate between Weetabix or toast. Sometimes if there is more time I’ll make banana pancakes. He doesn’t have many teeth so limited to things that are easily chewable but I’m not sure if there are any other suitable cereals he could try

I like my MIL but she is a lot and whenever my little girl makes a noise it’s ’do you want milk?’ Or ‘shall you have some more?’ When it’s clearly not hunger - she just goes straight to the bottle and it really winds me up especially as my baby is very sicky.
The other day my baby was having an awful wind episode (full on screaming) and MIL was trying to shove a bottle in her mouth and wouldn’t give her back to me. When me and my husband then ask for her to sort her out she always goes ‘no she’s fine with me!’ And once said ‘nanny knows best’. She also said to my LG a few weeks ago ‘are they not feeding you enough? Do they pinch you awake? Do they pinch you when I’m not here? Tell me all about it’ and I can’t stand it.
My husband is amazing and puts her in her place but she just doesn’t listen and she is now trying to make decisions on my LGs care e.g not using a swivel base in the car and just a seatbelt extender when she takes her out (she hasn’t yet but I don’t want to let her now especially as I’ve said I’ll put my swivel base in her car)
Am I being ridiculous getting upset about her doing stuff like this? Happy to hear some honest opinions.

I go back to work in 2 weeks. I've been lucky to have extended leave and my little one is 20 months. There are no nursery places locally and my family are 150 miles away. My job is work from home which I'm lucky but I'm so nervous of juggling childcare and work.
Is anyone else juggling it? Any tips

I’ve been offered work on some weekends to help with parties at a local play cafe (4-5 hours max)
My partner doesn’t think I should be doing it as I’m “missing out on family time” My partner works full time as a teacher and I’m a SAHM, he has been working extra during the holidays at clubs ect.
Surly I shouldn’t feel bad getting myself back out there again and then having “mum guilt” on missing family when I’ve been a SAHM for over two and a half years ….
Life 🫠😥
