Please can I have some positive stories of your child starting nursery?! It seems like all I hear is negative things about babies starting nursery. For example, babies refusing to eat and come home hungry, not settling for naps, the nursery not keeping the app updated accurately, drop offs being horrendous - this isn’t specific to my nursery but just experiences in general! My baby starts in a few weeks and he will be 10 months. We are going through a bit of a clingy phase so I’m worried, feeling anxious and tbh all the feels cos it’s heartbreaking the thought of handing him over!

my nursery is incredible! my daughter absolutely loves it and her confidence, communication, skills have blossomed since being there. the staff are amazing at answering any questions, and they keep the app updated very promptly throughout the day which is great as i love to keep checking to see what she’s eaten / slept etc. obviously it will all depend on the setting, but to give you a positive perspective, it’s definitely been amazing for my daughter and i ! it is very normal for them to take a little while to settle in food wise and eat more, and naps of course are interrupted at first as it’s new people trying to put them down so they have to build that bond but honestly it didn’t take long for my daughter at all! she was about 8/9 months when she started, i can’t remember exactly, and within a week or two she’d settled completely sleeping and eating well - she loves it and has only cried maybe five times going in in the months she’s been going. it’s a god send for us xxx

I’ve never had any issues with my daughters nursery, the woman are incredible and I totally underestimated how invested and how much they’d care for my child. Of course they are professionals but they form such a bond it gives me peace knowing she’s in such caring hands. I felt exactly like you did before she started nursery and I was in bits about it. I just kept focusing on all the sad things I.e drop offs etc… that i totally forgot all the good things. She does the coolest activities and eats better at nursery than she does at home 😳😂 her communication and social skills are amazing. Sure she’d rather be at home with mummy sometimes but that is also normal and I know she has loads of fun.

My youngest started at 10 months. Never cried at drop off and settled really quickly. Staff are lovely. She really enjoys it. I get frequent pictures and updates. One thing I will say as she dropped to 1 nap fairly quickly after starting, as naturally started following their routine. Not a big issue and it’s been fine, but it’s def a lot earlier than normal for them to stop a nap.

My little boy started nursery a month ago and he's thriving. We occasionally get a few tears at drop off, but they reassure me they can settle him within a couple of mins. He seems to be learning so much, he's eating and drinking everything in sight, and everytime we pick him up or they send pictures in the app he's smiling and laughing. He's loving it.

Took a few weeks and now he absolutely loves it. His language and interaction with others has come on massively, he eats amazingly (there, home is another story haha) and they genuinely fixed his bad sleep for us x
Could anyone suggest any other breakfasts I could offer my 15 month old please? We alternate between Weetabix or toast. Sometimes if there is more time I’ll make banana pancakes. He doesn’t have many teeth so limited to things that are easily chewable but I’m not sure if there are any other suitable cereals he could try

Guys I’m so annoyed with my husband. I’ve noticed I’ve since the baby turned eight months. It seems like he’s just been less helpful. He’s been playing this game on his phone and I normally don’t care but when the baby is crying because they obviously are hungry/ want to sleep etc. and he’s just playing the game and I’m stuck in work(working from home) it’s so annoying like why do I have to do every single thing while I’m trying to work?
I’m stopping to feed the baby changed diapers while you’re on your phone gaming
I’ve talked to him about the game already saying that I think you’re kind of being distracted and you’re not you know, helping as much when it comes to the child so he stepped up and started washing bottles helping out a little more now. But he had to give me so much talk about all he just wants to relax. And this is his only time to relax and he doesn’t interrupt me when I am playing games. I haven’t played a game in months because we have this child and I’m just tired all this time I went straight from a C-section to working full-time within a week and beyond tired.
He helps out with a lot of other things, but oh my gosh I just want help while I’m working. We literally only have two more days till baby goes to school. Why? Why can’t you get off this game?

My partner goes to work then will go straight out wether it's out with friends to the gym or to do what ever he wants come home mostly after bed time ,which can't be helped if he's working but on days we're he may finish at 3pm I'd love for him to just come home and help me with our 2 under 2
He will just go out and do what ever he wants , I get that he needs his free time but what about my times from the kids
I just he's begining to piss me off and out of 5 days he may come home straight after work twice but then will focus on cooking dinner he's a chef and loves cooking but when he's home he needs to take over or share the load
He's a great dad on the days he's off but we had this chat many times it's going in one ear and out the other .

I went out to eat with my friends last night and I’ve got one friend that sends food back every time. I’m not exaggerating, she complains to wait staff and management every time. Sometimes we gotta talk to her in the car about ordering what she’s accustomed too and not sending things back. One of my other friends told her, you gotta stop this shit! 🤣
