Milk supply boost

What can I use/take/eat/drink to boost my milk supply? I’m trying to ebf but I go back to work in a month and I’m struggling to pump enough to freeze and store for while I’m working.

So for me my problem was that I wasn't pumping enough, but I also started adding these smoothie/milk shake things in and it's helped. A cup and a half of oats, a cup of yogurt, half a bottle of coconut water, any fruits you think would taste good in it, frozen or fresh, as much as you want, some sugar to block the taste of the coconut water ( personal preference) and fill the rest with milk and blend. Oats are used in quite a few lactation cookie recipes, coconut water or coconut milk is supposed to help with product, along with yogurt from what I've seen. I think making this and pumping more often has definitely helped my supply, because for a minute there I was only producing half an ounce from both sides in one day, now I'm up to 9 ounces, and hopefully I get back to where I was where I was producing 14-15 ounces a day.

Water water water!! And protein! Your body will crave sugar for quick energy but it really needs protein!

Also when I went back to work I would pump and baby would drink that milk the next day so I never ended up using my stash. So don’t stress too much! Just make sure when you go back to work you’re producing what baby needs. For me it was about 16 oz while I was at work. I also noticed it helped my body keep up with baby’s needs nutritionally as she was getting relatively new milk. Not milk from sometime ago:)

Good luck! I hope this is helpful! Feel free to ask questions if it’s confusing 😆

My issue was my son wasn’t removing milk effectively to begin with to get me a decent output. My toddler started seeing a speech therapist and she looked at his mouth/oral muscles and ties as well and she gave me exercises to get his mouth to function better! I also got prescribed a medication by my OB but it DOES EFFECT YOUR MOOD quite drastically so if you’re afraid of or already experiencing symptoms of PPD I wouldn’t recommend asking for it, it helped me gain about an ounce. ALSO if you qualify for Wic ask for a hospital pump!!! This thing works WONDERS for me. I went from 1-1.5oz total to 3oz total!!! My son has been exclusively consuming my milk for 2 days now which is a HUGE accomplishment for us since he’s been combo fed since about 5 days old when I noticed he wasnt getting enough.

My four month old is trying to stand

My baby just turned four months on the 20th. She hasn’t quite sat up by herself yet but every time she is in somebody’s lap or somebody’s holding her, she’s showing interest in wanting to stand up. When is a good time to get her one of those bouncing toys, I wasn’t sure if we should introduce it yet because she’s not sitting independently or not

Sleep Schedule and sleep positions

My baby has just turned three months and I want to start tracking her sleep during the day, does anyone use any apps that are free and they would recommend? I am not trying to sleep train her till next month but I know it will take a couple months to do so I am not worried, I just want to know she is getting the right amount of sleep now and when she is sleeping in case she has too much or too little, she slept last night from around eight ish till about eleven ISH if I remember and the half three ISH for a bottle then woke up at seven for another bottle, had a wiggle in the cot while I chilled out next to her, I have a cold and it's zap me or else I would interact with her, she got fussy around half seven I think and came for a cuddle and slept till ten ISH and then I had to go out on a important errand, which she napped in the car for about half an hour after crying all the way there which was overwhelming but I had to do it, then around two ISH we both slept till five ISH, as I said I am not well so she was in her cot and me in bed and then she asleep around half eight, I want to know this all correct for her age.
Also how does everyone elses three month old sleep position at the moment, I have a very wiggly baby so I won't use a blanket as she kicks it off and has started to grab, so she's in a sleep bag with arms because she can roll over, with great head control and now for the last few months has slept on her side even when I place her on her back then will slowly move around the cot, I always check her but seems alright, video so you see what she does

Those who have babies who sleep have a totally different parenting journey

Maybe it’s because I’m jealous, maybe it’s because I’m hoping to find peace in myself but those who have babies/children who sleep well have a very different journey of motherhood/fatherhood. I’m tried, burnt out and close to a menty B

I want to stop co-sleeping 😭

I literally don't know what to do. I want to stop co-sleeping but it is a nightmare. As soon as I place my baby in his bassinet he'll start screaming bloody murder, or roll onto him belly and wake himself up, or sleep 30 minutes then wake up. It's a battle every night and eventually I'm exhausted and give up. He wins and gets to sleep next to mommy. I don't know what to do. 😭 He sleeps perfectly fine on his own for naps, just not at bedtime. Any advice?

Transferring

Just thought I’d celebrate a milestone in my motherhood.
Today, after 2 years and 8 months of being a mother to my daughter, I successfully transferred her off me from falling asleep on the boob (that’s what works for us idc) into her cot.
Fast and quiet was the method, slight winge then she rolled over and is out for the count.
Feel pretty proud of myself
