I built a dollhouse and a whole cafe/kitchen Xmas eve with a newborn 🤣

Plus if you are buying tech like a Yoto or a tonie, charge it up and get content downloaded. Saves drama when it’s not ready to play with.

I think it depends on whether you think they would enjoy building it with you or not

If it’s something like a play kitchen then put together ahead of time. If the point of the toy is the building then we don’t do that in advance.

100% debox, put batteries in, build it - whatever needs doing so he can play straight away. So much easier

I would def build as many as possible, because they don’t want to wait and tbh I have enough to do on Xmas day 😂

I build the big stuff, other things I unclip from the boxes and put batteries in before wrapping up

Depends on what it is! My youngests birthday is 10 days before Christmas so I'm already shopping for bits. We've got our 2 year old an easel for Christmas and that will be build beforehand. I make sure the tape is cut before wrapping to make opening them easier. As they get older I'll stop doing that. My little boy i won't wrap everything as he'll get bored so quickly. My toddler I'll wrap as much as I cant
