Did you get push presents?

I want to ask for a push present but im not sure what to ask for i prefer practical useful items I dont wear much jewelry or makeup, and I definitely dont like expensive brands like Louis vitton or Gucci, im just not that kind of woman to use that kind of stuff. I'd like to have stuff that I like to do but honestly I have not had time to enjoy almost any of my hobbies so I feel like it would be wasted. Does anyone have any ideas?

I got my dream car with our youngest

I got a room on the private ward with incredible aftercare for 3 days. Treat like a queen.

The espresso machine I’ve had my eye on for a while and also a kindle. I didn’t get a push present with my first because I wasn’t even aware of what it was or I would’ve definitely capitalized off that as well 😂😏

My first I got a wearable breast pump and my second I got a huge yeti cup. Both were very needed lol

I did get a cute push present.
I guess I am that kinda woman 🤣🫢

My husband got me a sapphire (baby’s birthstone) and diamond ring

You can ask for a trip

Only you can say what you would cherish. Think of something you can either wear everyday or keep safe somewhere that you can see every day. I would then link it to something that matches your babies star sign or birthdate etc. eg a peal edged photo frame for bedside table / semi-precious stone matching birth month on a locket etc

I would love to receive any of these. I did not get a push gift.

I got a locket with a picture of me and baby in it. I wear it all the time 🥰

Trip to Spain 🇪🇸 and an ice machine lol I lovely very small ice chunks so hubby got me a machine that makes it small enough for me to eat 🥰😊

I got a necklace with baby’s birthstone and birth flower (from the company gldn). Absolutely love it, and it was less than $100

Maybe $500 to $1000 in your savings? I have a seperate savings from my husbands ( which is ours ) that way I don’t have to ask him for $$$ unless I absolutely need too. I’m a SAHM tho 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got a necklace after our first. With our second, my husband has paid for me to have my hair done and he just spent £ on a therapeutic, massaging, electric bed that moves like a hospital bed for us because of my disabilities. We were gonna get a new bed next year anyway.

I might live under a rock...what is a push present? Lol

Avatar

With our first I got a Tiffany’s ring with baby’s birthstone.
With our second I told him he better start saving now because I want a boat or a vasectomy. He told me he wants one more kid. I told him “Which is why I said you better start saving now.” 🤣

Does this seem fair.

I'm on maternity leave with a 4 month old and have a 2 yr old toddler.
On Mondays I have no childcare so I'm looking after both all day.
Rest of the week my toddler is in nursery for half a day.

My partner goes to a social group every Tuesday evening for 4 hrs and on Saturdays for 3 hrs.

I've said I want to have free time 9-3 on a weekend to do whatever i want to do - shopping, baking, seeing friends, etc etc.

I said I can't have free time any other time during the week as there's no point - my partner is out from 7am to 6pm Mon-Fri.

Does this seem fair?

Just advise on relationship and pregnancy apologies for long post.

Hello im going to apologise ahead of time for the post as its gunna probably be a long one.
I had a baby in jan 2025 then another baby who was preterm delivered by emegency c section at 31 weeks and 6 days which was in may 2026 i have just took 4 clear blue tests last week which are saying in 2-3 weeks which means conception was 4-5 weeks ago i told my partner that we should of been more careful as ive always been against terminations myself unless its medically necessary (no judgement to anybody as there are a lot of very valid reasons for terminations).
But all in all he doesnt really do much to help me i do all finances i do all the kids care i do all the housework he doesnt even work either so he just lays about either in my house or running around for other people which can make things difficult in the house sometimes.
Id just like a bit of advise really on what the best thing to do it due to so many complications can happen eith this pregnancy due to the issues i had with my last labour and im a little concerned as i had really bad hyperemesis in both my last pregnancies and he never gave me enough time to recover i had to discharge myself from the hospital most times due to the kids were inconveniencing him and what he had to do.
I feel bad writing this post but am i better terminating? Or am i better off just dropping the man who can not take any responsibility towards his children as things seem so much easier when hes not laying about asking me well what have you done today when i never stop.

Starting nursery - End of mat leave

Not sure what I am hoping with this post. Maybe some comfort.
I will be back to work next week and my baby will start nursery tomorrow (4 days a week) full day.

I know it is part of the process for working out of the house moms, and I am been trying to get my head around but I am struggling. When I think that I won’t be the one spending the day with her, it breaks my heart.

I am trying to think of the main reasons I am back to work. To move to a house with more space, to provide for her etc but my heart is broken.

We don’t have family around so she basically only stayed and was looked after by me for 12 months. She is very attached and I am so concerned she will struggle.

I feel like a bad mom for sending her, but I don’t really have another option at this point in life.

How do you cope?

Thank you

Loneliness and loosing my spark

I’ve been dealing with some pretty intense loneliness ever since I had my second baby. I feel like I completely lost myself and I have nothing outside of being a mom. And honestly no motivation to do anything for myself. I don’t have many friends. My husband works a ton so he’s barely home. I feel like a shell of a human honestly. Like how the heck do I get myself back?!
