Trusting gym daycare

So my husband and I really want to go to the gym. He started going in the morning at 5am with a coworker but I will start going with him at night some days of the week. However, we don’t really have anyone near us that would be free to watch our baby that we trust when we go. The gym offers daycare services while we work out but I’m so anxious about leaving her with strangers while we’re working out even though it’s in the same building. Any advice on how to just accept the daycare services and move on?

Just a suggestion here, maybe let them know this is a first for you and you’re a little nervous. We did that at our gym, they understood and introduced us to the staff there that day and we got to see into the day care (we couldn’t go in for safety reasons which made us feel even better lol) it helped put our minds at ease. Also if I get separation anxiety I just walk by and take a look inside to make sure everything is okay while I’m mid work out

What age do they watch? There’s a gym near me that offers this service, but it’s only for 2 years and up.

I’d be anxious too 🤍 I think I’d make it really gradual rather than forcing myself to just “get over it.” Maybe tour the daycare first, ask about staff ratios, check-in/out, how they contact you if baby is upset, and what their policies are. Then do a really short workout the first time, like 20–30 mins, and stay in the building the whole time. Once you see she’s safe and you can get to her straight away, it might start feeling easier. You don’t have to go from never leaving her to being completely comfortable overnight 🥺❤️

See if theres a camera system? Some have doors that are seethru that parents can come check in then go workout. Talk to the girls that work there too! Also just let them know - if baby's crying to come get you

I’m having similar problem! Not just with the gym, but child care in general
What gym do you attend?

Perhaps a camera system, a tour will help

But who do you leave the baby to when you both work? Family or daycare? Coz if daycare I mean they were strangers too…once upon a time. And over time we get to know them, build rapport and they aren’t strangers anymore. Or what you can do is tag team. He goes, comes home you go. If you are really too anxious. He already goes at 5am. So maybe if you go after work baby can stay home w him while you duck out. We’ve always tag teamed and gone separate times baby stays home when I go to my 7pm Pilates and Zumba and salsa

What should I do

My husband just got home from work got out of his work clothes and sat dawn and we were talking then I seen a condom under the chair he was sitting on in our room that I’ve been in all day and cleaned literally this morning and we don’t use them at all I have no clue where it came from me and him have been married for three years and I’m pregnant with our second child and he’s trying to say that it was mine from a previous relationship which makes zero sense and when I asked him where it really came from, he got mad and left our room

Exercise

When did you start exercising again? I’ve done a few light workouts but I’m really keen to get back to it!

Parking at Southmead

Hi everyone, we are going to Southmead for our 20 week scan next week (on a week day at midday) and was wondering what the parking situation was like at the moment?

When we had our first baby 3 years ago, parking during the week was always a nightmare- usually got one of the last spots in the small carpark next to the antenatal clinic and could never even get near the multi-storey 😅 I’m just asking as the carpark I’ve circled in yellow was out of action for basically the whole of my pregnancy last time so wondered if the situation is any different now it’s open again!

Will probably find somewhere off-site with JustPark to reduce the parking stress if it is still a nightmare, but thought I’d see if anyone has any recent experiences to share first 🫶🏼😊
