Am I overreacting

I left my baby for the first time at this age (11 months) with a cousin. I left him for an hour so I could pop to the shops locally and she gave him a bottle to stop him crying. That was an extra bottle she gave him. I told her she can give him snacks provided but she gave him a bottle instead - like why? This was my worry that because my LO eats so much people would just use milk or food to calm him down. I would have preferred her to give him snacks rather than an extra bottle. He has three small 4.5oz bottles a day and I've just seen she used an old dirty bottle. I don't get it because she messaged me and I told her what snack to give. This does not do well for my anxiety or trust.

I have a designated spot in the fridge that I keep food for the baby and a shelf in our cupboard That’s Also just food for the baby.
When I would have a babysitter come over, I would tell them they can give the baby anything on the shelf or from his spot in the fridge and I would have written times for when he’s allowed to have a bottle because I pre plan and prep everything. I think I once told the Babysitter “if you give him a bottle too early then you’ll be sad because that’s all I have prepped”

That's tough because I'm similar with anxiety I've even written a blue print on how to fill in for me. I don't want to leave my son somewhere where people do what they want I would like him to be somewhere they love him and will just do what I ask not what they are in the mood to.

Sleep 😴

Did anyone struggle when they had a new born to be able to go to sleep. I've had nights where I'm tired, baby is asleep, husband is asleep, but i am so anxious I just can't drift off

Colief drops

My 5 week old has been struggling with colic and reflux. I had just started him on colief drops and it’s telling me to wait 30 minutes before giving him a bottle 😭 it’s fine during the day but I most definitely cannot wait 30 minutes for his night feeds… can anyone help with this? Do you had to wait 30 minutes?

Would you call triage?

I've been having braxton hicks for about 1.5 hours, they're not painful but I have had a very slight period like pain. Moving and changing position doesn't stop them. I'm 34+4, would you call triage? I don't want to be a time waster.

Am I overreacting

Our son is 6 weeks old, turns 7 tomorrow. my partner never wakes up at night to help unless I ask him , ( sometimes I don’t need his help coz he has to go work and I don’t mind doing it myself ) the only time I ask for help is when I’m extremely exhausted or when baby has really kept me up. when he does wake up on his own he just looks at us and goes back to sleep and sometimes he opts to sleep in the living room on the couch, btw he doesn’t share a bed with me, he sleeps on the floor bed for reasons best known to him! When I ask him to look after the baby he still comes back to ask questions on whether he is supposed to feed him, change him or put him to sleep which is just as good as me staying up and looking after baby myself. I was telling him about appointments I’ve got booked for our son and he said to me he can’t come I need to use uber, this came up after we went for our 6 weeks post natal check and he said to me he could have gone to work . I said to him the baby is ours he need to be a parent just like I do and not be selective on when he can and can’t help and shouldn’t let me do everything on my own., he needs to be involved! That aside, my son still wakes up almost 2-3 hourly for feeds so obviously I was up most of the night, after the appointment he told me he couldn’t look after the baby coz he needed to rest, which honestly I feel is unfair, he slept the whole night, he had his afternoon nap and I didn’t coz baby been fussy the whole day . He is quiet helpful with meal preps but sometimes I just need a break from baby and just get some rest, I feel I’m doing it all alone. We argued about the whole thing coz I have been repeating the same thing for 6 weeks now and he has been calling everyone saying I was screaming at him when I don’t ask him to help , honestly should I ask each and every time? Sometimes I would be eating me meals whilst carrying the baby and he would just be seated . Honestly it’s exhausting having to ask all the time when I have explained several times of what I require from him. keep in mind he wanted the baby, I love my son but he pushed for me to have a baby and he’s also complained about me getting the coil as contraception coz I told him I don’t want to go through this whole experience again. Honestly what would one do in this case

I’m worried my baby always smells

I don’t know why I find my 6 month old to always smell? He gets a bath every night, but his hands are constantly in his mouth so they’re covered in saliva, he’s quite a sicky baby so he’s constantly being sick and no matter how many outfit changes or wipes to the neck, once he’s been sick that smell seems to linger until his bath. I see other babies and they just look so perfect, other mams have never really mentioned anything like this before. Am I getting in my head?
