C section recovery kit

I used my belly band a couple times. It was a hand me down and the hospital gave me an ok one.

Didn’t use silicone strips but I think I will this time around.

I think the kits are a little overpriced and you can usually get a higher quality and exactly what you want/need buying it separate.

The thing I used the most was an ice pack with a strap to go around my waste and hold it in place.

I didn’t use one at all! You can’t use strips until fully healed and even then you might decide you don’t need them. I used a band briefly and decided it was too uncomfortable.

I would advise taking a little pillow around with you, just in case you need to sneeze or cough or laugh- the first few days aren’t nice on the scar😅 oh also, you can tuck it under the seatbelt on the way back from the hospital and it cushions everything😊

I also bought my own dressing pads after, as I was left with an overhang, whilst it was healing it was nice to have something there so I didn’t get all sweaty and gross💗

the belly band saved me after mine, just to feel like it was holding everything in place, but also a barrier to the incision itself. i didn’t have silicone strips but i even still think about getting them 7m pp

I have had three C-sections and never had one, so wouldn’t say necessary..but can’t speak to how helpful it may be. The hospital did give me these grey strips of fabric to cover the incision with, but that’s all I used.

I used the band the hospital gave me but if I have another one I’m going to look into the belly binding wrap.
