hey everyone!! We’ve fully stepped away from formula feeds and are cracking down on three meals and up to two snacks a day (plus one bottle of whole milk right when waking and then one before bed time), it’s been going fairly okay.
BUT- the caveat 😂 little bro is going through this phase where he only wants to eat with his hands and likes what he likes and turns his nose up at anything else. What’re we doing to introduce new foods and most importantly, healthy alternatives. I refuse to give him pizza and nuggs every night just to get him to eat 😂

I live by the rule that you are responsible for providing a time, place, and thing to eat and your kid is responsible for how much they eat. They won’t let themselves starve, but if they know you’ll provide something they like better they’ll hold out and make you feel bad. I give my 14 month old whatever it is that I eat during the day plus a couple snacks and when he starts throwing his food or playing with it I take it away and will prompt him to see if he’ll take more. If not, I let him down from his seat and his meal is done.

Oh, and I never give him circles of food either. Cucumbers, pepperonis, grapes, blueberries, etc are all cut into AT LEAST 1/2 if not 1/4 pieces

I agree with bella. Dont continue to offer only what they like. If they dont want what you have to offer, they will decline it until they are hungry enough. They've got enough fat reserve on them, they can skip a meal and be fine (might be a little cranky)
And let their jaws work, bone is right under the gums. I give my LO chips in small pieces. He loves them and crunches them just fine. Cheese its is one of his favorite snacks (I eat more than half the cracker first).
You could also use baby food to try to incorporate new tastes. But he eats what we eat. Or sometimes for less messier options, I turn it into a quesadilla or cook it in eggs.
Its also ok if they eat with their hands. Offer cutlery, and if they only hold it, that's ok. They will learn by watching. My LO "helps" me scoop more onto his plate with his fork
My daughter has told me a few times now since starting 2nd grade that some of her classmates have cell phones and now she wants one obviously she’s not going to get one lmao, but the fact that this is already a thing and convo I’m having now is mind blowing to me, I thought I’d have a few more years

Hi ladies
I’m just wondering if anyone could talk me through how the payments work for the tax free child care for nursery?
We are eligible for 30 free hours which we claim and the nursery have sorted for us.
I have only just realised today when updating my account that I am also eligible for tax free child care which I believe is where the government pays 20% of the nursery bill?
My nursery bill per month is £137, I have selected and set up my nursery on the account, I’m just not really understanding how the money gets paid in and how the gov know how much to pay for their bit?
I have taken a screen shot of the screen that came up for when I was trying to have a nosy round and figure out how to pay, I haven’t actually got my next bill just yet, and last month I just paid the full £137 myself straight from my bank account as I didn’t realise I was eligible for the tax free one. No biggy really about the first bill as he has only just started nursery so that was his first bill, I would just like to know how to pay it with the government bit in preparation for the next bill.
Thank you

So I’m currently at the hospital because I’m in labor and about to deliver my baby within the next hour and a half probably and none one’s here.
Well my mom’s on the way to me now but it’ll take a minute for her to come. As for my baby’s dad, nowhere in sight. I told him I was in the hospital and he said he wanted to be there when his son is born but where is he? Who knows.
Am I upset? Definitely. Am I surprised? No not really. I’m only irritated because I know he’s going to blame me for something like he always does and it’s going to be horrible.
But that’s not important, what’s important is that I get to see my baby boy soon with or without him. Sad to say but I can’t control how he reacts so I’m just gonna focus on me and baby.

My 2 year old Lo is still not settled after taking him to nursery from monday till today(thursday) for an hour . What can we do to help please. I am soo desperate as this didnt happen to my first . The manager was saying he wants to be picked up and i told her maybe it because he is still not settled with the new faces so he needs more time towards that .

Baby could come in 3 weeks and my partner hasn’t help with anything at all! I’ve even given him the space and said we need to discuss these things, let me know when you’re free to chat and he still hasn’t bothered! He said he was going to talk to me yesterday but apparently I was too emotional so he didn’t bother! Which I think is a lie, he was just trying to find an excuse. He has been purposely coming home late from work all week and my little one would ask why daddy is late for dinner. I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m so mentally exhausted and feel so alone in this process! I’m hoping for a home birth, I don’t know how this would work if I feel so unsupported at the moment!

Everything is always the baby first think of the baby. But what about me. Like honestly I’m so tired. it’s my second time getting fucked over and left with a baby. This time though I have to share my son on weekends because his father want to be “in the picture”. I honestly just want to cut him off and move somewhere so I don’t have to. :/ feeling angry and sad
