Back when I was lifting at the gym, rock climbing and able to do chin ups with no issue, I could have given him a run for my money full of adrenaline.

Now, 40kg lighter than him with no muscles anymore I’d be done for 🤣 even play wrestling I can’t wiggle out!

Avatar

Definitely not. My only chance at getting away would likely be if I’m able to punch or kick him in the balls.

no 🤣

maybe a very very small man… but not mine 🤣

No, and I have had combatives training and workout 4-5 times a week lol. That statement is the equivalent of the guys who have zero fighting experience saying that if they get in a fight they just black out and see red and go ham and can beat anyone 💀 like no.. physics, training, weight and muscle mass don’t just go out the window because you’re in a vibe

Avatar

I often say to my husband I could beat him in a fight 😂
If it was a real fight, I would fight dirty and go for weak spots, as he has bad hips, but if we’re being honest, once he’s pinned my arms, there’s no way I’m winning. 😂

Avatar

Strength wise, not a chance, but I do have long sharp nails that can do damage (tried and tested)

Avatar

Heh, if I take cheap shots, maybe. Maybe off of adrenaline, but im not very strong, just fast.
He always acts overly dramatic if I throw something at him or play hit his shoulder.
But really my husband can literally pick up a transmission or a DPF system and install it with one hand, over his head.
So if hypothetically we were fighting each other, and he genuinely fights back, he could probably hold me far enough away with one extended arm or put me down in a single motion 😅

Avatar

He would destroy me lol
I’ve been out of the gym for 8 months and he’s been pumpin everyday for a year and is like 200lbs all beef 🤣

Avatar

My man is 6’0, 220 lbs. I can’t even fight out of being tickled by him 💀

Avatar

With adrenaline a lot is possible but if I was exhausted my husband could pin me down or strangle me with one hand lmao and this is the case with most large men against women which is exactly why I am trained and carry 🔫

Avatar

My fiancé used to be a rod buster, iron worker. I know I can’t.

Avatar

Not me, but I think if a woman was determined and had gone to the trouble of learning self-defense, and keeping up her strength, she probably could. You don't need to be physically strong - it takes more energy to swing and miss than to hit and make contact. If he can't get his hands on you he can't beat you.

Avatar

I couldn’t because I am baby a don’t do pain well. One punch and I’d be done. But I’m sure there are women who can!

Avatar

Could 100% beat him at psychological warfare though

Avatar

Mine is a ginger scotsman... i ain't even trying.. probably got viking in his blood 🤣🤣

Avatar

It’s not shade to anyone bt I can’t be with some1 who I think I can beat up. Like physically, I am attracted to men who are stronger and bigger than me so of course my Husband would destroy me in a physical fight. I don’t stand a chance even if I worked out, his physical abilities & sportsmanship surpasses mine. Bt heck I will sure put up a good fight cuz I ain’t no punk 😇

Avatar

I’m 5’2 and slim, he’s 6’3 and works a manual labour job, so no way. He could just pick me up and throw me.

Avatar

Probably but he’s under 10 stone and has a physical disability. He managed to incapacitate himself once by kicking a football.

Avatar

Even punching with everything ive got, he said that's it. And when I get riled up and pissed he reminds me ive never fought anyone in my life and our toddler could probably take me out. Even if I did manage something lt wouldn't be a fair fight.

Avatar

Strength wise I don’t think so but at the same time I wouldn’t underestimate a woman in mama bear mode

Have they worked for any of you?

Distant Friend?

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have had a similar experience. How you coped with it etc.

I've had a close friend for the last 4/5 years I met through my husband. She was the maid of honour at my wedding and we've been close with her partner since they've been together. We used to hang out a lot and used to see each other for dog walks, pubs etc.

We both started trying for children at a similar time. We unfortunately had a miscarriage which was very hard to deal with. They got pregnant around this time and then miraculously we got pregnant again and this time baby stayed. Since we've become pregnant again, I feel like they've started becoming distant.

We moved back home a few months ago which meant we were actually closer to them then before, but we've actually met up less than before...We've both tried to meet up with them and just feel a bit blown off. I feel really gutted because I thought I'd have a close friend during pregnancy but it feels like the opposite.

They've now had their baby and completely understand that life is probably really busy for them. We've tried to prompt them about if something is wrong but just been given the response of sorry we've been busy.

I feel like I'm going mad, it's hard because I want to be her friend but feel like she just doesn't want to be my friend. I'm fed up of reaching out and not getting a lot back. Advice please x
