I’m not originally from the UK so just curious! If your little one has tea at nursery, do you still give them dinner at home? I heard most British parents don’t ... is that true?

I usually do because they have tea at nursery about 3:30 and bedtime isn’t until 8pm. It also means we get to all eat a meal together at the table.

I work in a nursery and tea is usually a form of snack as opposed to a full nutritional meal so I would recommend providing tea at home also, even if it's a smaller portion than when not at nursery.

I do offer my son, but depends on him, sometime he has when offered and sometimes he doesnt

Depends what he’s had for tea there and how much he’s ate. They do pretty good portions at my nursery and we usually have our tea about 5pm which I know is early for some people anyway. So usually if he’s had a smaller tea like sandwiches or they say he didn’t eat much I’ll make him some tea, but he never eats it, but I always offer anyway in case.
If he’s had a big tea I usually offer him a bigger snack, fruit yogurt and smoothie usually but can vary, at the same time I’m having my tea.

We do. Our daughter has tea at nursery around 4.30pm, then dinner at home around 6.30pm. It's a bit close together, but nursery tea is just a snack and she often doesn't eat it all, so not really enough to see her through to the morning.

I did as nursery tea was always something g very light like a wrap and cucumber sticks or a small portion of pasta so she was hungry later on! 😊

Yeah we do 😊 whatever we’re having x

We do. Nursery tea is a very light meal and we like to sit down for a family meal together. It does take the pressure off knowing she's had something nutritious if she decides not to eat though!

Nursery tea is a light meal at 3.30pm and we do him dinner at 5pm

For us nursery tea is also at 3:30pm. Not very filling or healthy food like ham sandwiches and spaghetti hoops. I always give him dinner before 6pm with more filling foods.

Yes, my daughter has her tea at 3:30pm, snack when she gets home around 5:30/6pm and then dinner at 7pm

Yes, nursery tea is a light meal, soup and a roll or sandwich and cucumber, tomato pin wheels that sort of thing. It's served at 4pm so we do supper about 6, and that means we can all eat together at the table too

I do. She has tea at 3.30 then dinner with us at 6. I’m not fussed if she doesn’t eat a huge portion though.
My fiance (yes we were engaged) eft me last night. He ended our 6 year relationship and told me he doesn't love me anymore and can't stay with me just for the sake of baby.
I haven't slept all night I'm heartbroken and devastated and feel so blindsided as we wasn't even arguing at the time.
I feel sick with anxiety about the future and what this will look like for me and 15 month old. We're not married so I don't think I have many rights. I worried about my finances and losing our home etc.
Not to mention the loss of what I thought was my forever love.
It was out the blue but said he's hasn't been happy for months.
I'm broken. I genuinely thought we were in a good place.
I don't know what to do, I can't stop crying and I just want to get happy and 100% for my son

Anyone else getting the overwhelming feeling like they just cant do it. I’m nearly 3 weeks in and I’m exhausting and feeling unwell.
I was in the hospital last few days due to an infection and feeling faint.
I felt better and went home, woken up this morning just feeling like shit again and rundown and hot.
Every time I ask my partner for some helps it is met with a “sigh” and he goes “I’m tired too and I’m working”
When I came back home house was still messy.
I have such back pain, extremely sore nipples, feverish but don’t have a fever and just so unwell.
At night baby is on myside I feed her and change her. Me and partner argue becuase he says he does everything and is running around but I don’t see it that way.
I’m feeling more disconnected to my baby and just cry a lot cause I’m in so much pain and exhaustion. The slight thought of regret having a baby is coming to mind and I feel so bad.
Anyone have any advice?

Am loosing it
I will be resuming back to work soon
Myself and my partner works full time
I work day shift and he does night shift
Now my partner is saying , he won’t be able to look after the baby while I am work cos he needs the day to himself to catch up with his sleep
He is insisting we take her to a daycare during the pay and that we must spilt the cost of daycare 50/50
I think that is being selfish 🤦🏻♀️
It is reasonable or I am just overthinking ?
Mums how do you plan with your partner on childcare while at work

I just bought my 2 year old Tom’s toothpaste with fluoride in it. Is it ok if I use it and he doesn’t know how to spit yet? I barely used for the first time today. Also does anyone know what that spray is called that you use when baby falls asleep and can’t brush their teeth in the night
