6 week check up

Thats WILD? I would call them again and ask them to make it sooner bc wtf?

I think it depends on your GP surgery. I had to book my own. I tried to book early and they told me they couldn't book it in advance and to call back when it was already 6 weeks. I eventually got it at 9weeks which was the earliest I could see a female doctor!!
I'd see if they can do your baby any earlier as some of the things they check for need to be seen to before 12wks if a referral is needed and 11wks is cutting it close!

Mine will be at 12 weeks and only because I kicked off about it! Must depend on surgeries.

I was told by the midwife at my 10 days (actually 2 weeks appointment ) that I'll have to arrange myself with the GP for the 6 weeks appointment. Due to available slots I've been seen at almost 7 weeks, but I booked 4 weeks in advance and had no preference for doctor, whomever was free first

FTM here and my 6 week check up is booked at the of this month and it’ll be 12 weeks by then. Its a joke 😅 I had to chase several times..

I don't think we even get a 6 week check up at the gp here! I had a health visitor at 6 weeks pp and won't even see them until after they're done with their strike, which has been going on for months at this point already! Baby will be seen by a gp before their vaccinations at 8 ,12 and 16 weeks, but nothing for myself.

Must be area/practice dependent. I'm a 2nd time mum, mine was booked for me when they called to confirm some details - but this was after I had put in a request to register him at the doctors.

It was exactly 6 weeks but they only had male dr available that day, which I didn't mind.
