Nursery prep

Meeee!! 👋🏻its our second baby and we only have a two bedroom house. I am in no rush to move until settled into a routine so the cot is in our bedroom and probably will be for the first year or even longer tbh 😂😂😂

I've put a few bits in our spare room such as a high changing mat but it's downstairs, I've decorated but in neutral style because my ex (to be) husband is pressuring me to sell the house so it needs to be presentable. I'm dragging my feet though, I don't want to move with a newborn and it's going to end up much smaller for me and 3 kids 😔 x

Me too! I really don't see the point in it, like you said she'll be sharing our room for at least 6 months. By that point we'll understand what we want to buy a lot more than we do now as it's out first baby 😊

I'm ftm and painted the baby's room, partner built her wardrobe and chest of drawers to store her clothes and nappy supplies. That's it for her nursery.

We have the next to me cot in our bedroom, her pram downstairs, and about four hamper sets of nappy changing along with three changing mats/old towels throw around 🤣 I haven't been 'nesting' I've been going "Where can I shove this that won't inconvenience me?" 🤣

We didn't do our son's till he was 9 months old! We will do this one when they are 5 months old as we will move our son out, to a bigger room

Lol I love this! I totally agree with you. I think a lot of the hype is about marketing to new mums so that we spend more! I'm due my second next month and have not bought a single new thing. My nesting has been getting bottles, my pump and all the newborn clothes out of storage. Also rearranging my toddler's room to make room for somewhere to put his siblings stuff!

Is changed all my son's nappies in his room, I never wanted to change him on the sofa downstairs or anything so we used his room a lot. We played in there, did tummy time, read books, fed him in there etc. I loved having his nursery.

For this baby we've done things slightly differently, he has got his own room but we've put a king size floor bed in there and I will be sleeping in there with him. But still has all his toys/books/clothes/changing stuff set up in there

I’m in a two bed house and all baby needs is to be near me so in no rush to put them in with big sister, will definitely wait a year! 🫶🏼
