Is anyone else getting little to no help by friends/family.
When I was pregnant I found out I would be a single mummy. I was promised by my family especially my mum I would get lots of support and help. Since the baby being about 2 weeks old it all stopped I’m lucky if I get 5 mins a week of help. Anyone else experiencing this. I’m struggling bad. Baby is now 11 weeks old.
Any advice x

Please don't be so hard on yourself. You don't have to be perfect, so don't even try. Just be yourself, as much as you can. That's the one piece of advice I'd give you, because this is a long journey. If you want to get through it, at least be kind to yourself. Otherwise the kids will grow up, and you'll lose yourself in the process. ❤️

I’m sorry you’re going through this ❤️
I can relate, maybe putting your child in daycare or nursery part time so you can get a little rest break if she’s old enough to be away from you and go to nursery school that is, I know it’s hard having minimal help, things will get easier with time 🫶

Sometimes the mental load of feeling let down can be quite draining, adding in a new born can make it feel like you are struggling. But i promise it will only make you stronger and grow from it. Don’t be so hard on yourself, enjoy these early months (as you’ll miss it once its over)

Ask for help especially from your mum.

Have you got an assigned health visitor? Im doing it solo with no help from family or friends, but the health visitor comes to check in every other week which is just nice to feel supported by someone.

It is so hard and I’m sorry your village let you down too 😔 I don’t have any support either and it is so hard at times but I love my son so much and keep trying to focus on that when I’m really struggling and remind myself how amazing it is that I’m doing it all on my own! So please be proud of everything you’ve achieved so far and be kind to yourself 🫶🏼

Early on was the roughest for me. I knew I was gonna be doing this alone so I was prepared. I drove myself home from the hospital after I gave birth and to the hospital when I had contractions so mentally I was prepared to handle this and for me lack of sleep and hormones made me extra sensitive to this and feeling alone. I have no extra money for childcare or therapy so I try to squeeze in my personal time in between naps to feel good about myself. Sometimes that means the house doesn't get done. The joy your baby brings is because you are great at what you're doing. Just dont stress, do what you can and know it gets better. Be sure to remember that this will prepare for the hard times and strengthen you but you are a fierce mama and can do anything. Just give time especially for the mental to catch up.

i'm an estranged only child, with a child by a man that was married (unbeknownst) with the exception of my cousin just being in the same state from labor til 6 months i've had ZERO assistance outside of that.
my girl is 3 now & i'm winging it.

I am going through the same thing, my son is 15 mknths now and i have had him every single day.
Take one day at a time! The seasons changing now but try and go for as much walks as you can, it will help to clear your mind.
Its hard but you can do it! If you feel like you cant do another day, do tell your family you need help. Do not say you are okay when you aren’t, peoples first liner is “how are you?” Be honest and say exactly how you are.
I hope they come through for you!
My baby is 5 month 2 weeks and since before he was born I’ve been living in a single mom maternity home. I came to the home 20 weeks pregnant and since 25 weeks me and baby dad been tryna see if we can fix what was messed up. Anyways that would be going good, then go bad , then go good , then go bad. At month 3 of baby being born we stopped talking . Everything, so I just been handling and caring for baby on my own while he barely checks up on baby . Fast forward we spoke again and it seem like it was aight , then he met up with me and told me he currently living with his situationship at the moment..,🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴, he said he told me because he didn’t want our foundation to be set up on a lie and he had to tell me this way before it blew up . And now basically he kinda piggy backed off her , and how he don’t really like her but when he was having a tough time “without “ me she kinda filled that void , but supposedly it nothing to what we “have” , and how he really wants to be with me and he knows he “fd” up. He knows since he told me there now may never be a chance between us. He asked me how I feel , and I told him idk , to be honest , how tf is that something to come back from…. Mind you I have his child and he won’t even pick up his phone around her. He has TWO. phones now . One she gave him, and his regular, but he never keep his regular. He said , if I’m willing to get a place with him, he’ll drop the situation right away, but to be honest wtf does that make me ? (Please answer) i need the BRUTAL truth . At first yesterday i said f the whole situation, but now today i feel myself upset about it cause how could you. I’m taking care of our child every night in and day while you just living life having a ball ? Quite honestly if my child was hurt rn, he wouldn’t even know until he checks his phone . Am I wrong or bitter for just cutting him out the picture completely? How do I handle this. ? Idk what to feel and have no one to talk to about this. Please

Honestly just looking for genuine girl friends 🩷 I’m tired of feeling like I have nobody to call or make plans with. I’d love to meet girls who are down to talk, go out, grab food, have sleepovers, laugh about random stuff, and actually build a real friendship.
No drama, no weird energy, just looking for my people 🫶🏽 If you’re also looking for a genuine friendship, message me! Also making a group chat, comment your snap or insta!!

I went into work to talk about my return to work, which is when my baby is 8 months old. I did three full days and half a day before the mat leave. Well I went back and I can only do three days now and instead of 7.30am till 6pm, I need to change my hours to 8am till 5pm, work have said the can't promise me those hours and they had to reject other people returning because they can't do the hours they need. I am not doing the original hours before mat leave, the reasons
I have to commute to work and it takes half an hour on a good day....
My husband could be on site all day and not be back till 7pm, I need to start dinner, bathe my baby etc
I'm not 100% sure I finish at six bang on because of problems at work, we have a thing at work where we can't go till everyone is ready to go
I am not asking to be a pain, I am asking for actual reasons, I was going to leave but found out I was pregnant when I was looking, I can't always have help from my husbands parents because they are in their 70s, my parents can't do it as my mum is disabled and my dad is her carer. I have no one else that can look after the baby, then my husband's job has started to get busy and he is out on site most of the time, he can't get another job because he has job security where he is and the pay is great, why go somewhere that pays less and he's not got that safety. I wont go back till I get the hours I need but will I win the fight? Thinking of a Union to help.
My boss was like we all got family, I know but I will never let my baby do a full day at my work it's something I am not willing to bend on and yes I work at a nursery.

Its not that I don’t want to be around my kids… sometimes there’s just SO much going on at once. Constant questions, noise, being touched, things needing to be done, everyone needing you — and suddenly your brain is just like, I need a minute! 😂
I love being a mum, but sometimes I just crave a quiet cup of coffee, a bit of peace and five minutes where nobody needs me. ☕️😂

Hi everyone! I’m just wondering how many weeks before their due date people usually go on maternity leave? 🤍
I’m due 20th December and I’m so stuck on when to put my last working day as! I’m part-time, so I’m not sure whether to finish earlier or try and work a bit longer.
Also, any tips for coping with maternity pay would be massively appreciated 🤣 I’m already stressing that because I’m part-time, I’m going to get absolutely nothing! 😭😂
