I mean… as long as it’s “age appropriate” timeout, it sounds fine. For example, ignoring a temper tantrum for a few minutes, only properly responding to them once they change their tone, etc

I didn’t do time outs at 2 but I did calming down time so they had to sit and do some breathing until they were calm enough to talk to me. I never had to think past that because it worked well for us. My kids have always had boundaries though and we’re very big on routine which has worked well for us x
Shes been like this the whole time

So, my boyfriend and I have a son together.and usually he doesn’t mind buying him things he needs like diapers and wipes etc…but recently he won’t get him anything that he needs. So when my son runs out we end up in an argument and he gets upset that he has to leave at 3 in the morning to get whatever it is my son needs when I told him days before he was almost out. I would get them myself but he doesn’t let me work because “he wants to take care of his family”. What should I do or say?

Mamas with HG, does Gardening help you with it? I’m not against doing it while pregg but I was avoiding it but now I’m at a loss. I’m genuinely about to try ANYTHING. Nothing helps and I have a whole toddler ☠️

How long did it take to settle your child into nursery? My boy turned 2 end of June and started nursery last Wednesday. He was very tearful the first day but played a little bit, day 2 was the same day 3 he came in with no tears. Monday-Wednesday he was absolutely fine went off on his own. Today was the first day they got me to leave the room and wait in the staff room. I was in there for about 15 minutes until they came and got me to say he was really upset. When I went inside he was screaming so they said I could take him home. Did they do this with your children as I kind of thought but its just teaching him if he screams he will go home sorta thing. Hopefully he gets a bit used to it

So my 2 year old has been messing with the buttons on the washing machine all morning and cancelling cycles or pausing them. I had enough and shouted and blocked the washing machine with my legs but he kept trying to get past and press the buttons. I got so fed up of his defiance I slapped his hand away and shut him out of the kitchen. He cried so much. I feel awful....i dont know what else I could have done...i need to get washing done on rare dry days in the UK!
