So, my boyfriend and I have a son together.and usually he doesn’t mind buying him things he needs like diapers and wipes etc…but recently he won’t get him anything that he needs. So when my son runs out we end up in an argument and he gets upset that he has to leave at 3 in the morning to get whatever it is my son needs when I told him days before he was almost out. I would get them myself but he doesn’t let me work because “he wants to take care of his family”. What should I do or say?

Tell him that if he wants to provide and be in that role, then he needs to step up and actually do so. Not waiting until the last minute and then throwing a tantrum because he has to get up.

Honestly just sounds like toxic masculinity that was engrained into a little boy disguised as “you are the sole provider”. Providers would have gotten the box of pull-ups the second you expressed they were needed

“Boyfriend” you should be working still.. not even judging you but shouldn’t put your life and needs or your child’s in a man’s hands like that when there’s no contract bc that’s what marriage is, protects you when he decides that he doesn’t wanna provide anymore🤷🏻♀️

What's his reasoning for not getting anything your son needs? X

Joint bank account if he doesn't want you to work or his pay his split in 2 and you get given half an then you can both buy him stuff
Shes been like this the whole time

Mamas with HG, does Gardening help you with it? I’m not against doing it while pregg but I was avoiding it but now I’m at a loss. I’m genuinely about to try ANYTHING. Nothing helps and I have a whole toddler ☠️

How long did it take to settle your child into nursery? My boy turned 2 end of June and started nursery last Wednesday. He was very tearful the first day but played a little bit, day 2 was the same day 3 he came in with no tears. Monday-Wednesday he was absolutely fine went off on his own. Today was the first day they got me to leave the room and wait in the staff room. I was in there for about 15 minutes until they came and got me to say he was really upset. When I went inside he was screaming so they said I could take him home. Did they do this with your children as I kind of thought but its just teaching him if he screams he will go home sorta thing. Hopefully he gets a bit used to it
