I am honestly at wits end with my little boy and his food. He used to have such a wide diet and now it’s so limited. It’s literally potatoes, potato waffles, potato smileys, chips, chicken dippers, plain pasta, ham, bread, cheesestrings, yogurts, bananas and chocolate. This is all he will eat. He used to eat carrots, broccoli, cottage pie, fish fingers, mince-now it’s like he’s on food strike. I batch cooked mince and he wouldn’t even touch it. Fruits and veg are a no go. Won’t even try it. But yet at the childminders he eats absolutely everything going including all fruits and veg. His diet is just a disaster and I can’t even hide fruits and veg because he doesn’t eat any sauces.

Mmmm Google ARFID, one of mine I’m 99% sure has it. She didn’t hot lunches eat at nursery though, she ate the odd thing at the childminder that she wouldn’t at home and drank milk at nursery out of desperation.
Maybe it’s normal toddler fussiness but sometimes it’s not. Mostly the advice is not to make mealtime a battle

My daughters the same and Im past stressing about it now.
She eats what she will eat at home, ill try and encourage her to have a new thing but if she doesnt eat it then she doesnt eat it.
At nursery she is having a fully balanced diet, at home im happy that shes just eating.
Its a phase, I hope.

We’ve had spells of this too on and off.
For us as Jayde says, has been phases.
I re introduce foods a lot Egs she’s now back on to Quorn cocktail sausages - something she had started to refuse.
She defo has her preferences tho.
If she could live off halloumi she would 🤣

I had a phase of this, nursery reassured me it was a lot because they just see other kids eating and eat the same. We made sure we all sat down together at dinner and ate the same meal consistently, didnt really offer anything else, but would cave for cereal but much later if we thought he'd be hungry and after a week or so he just went back to eating whatever we gave him, pretty much, there is of course the odd refusal and the odd fussy evening!

Just keep exposing them to everything even if they’re not touching it, that’s what I found has worked best for my little girl. She’s gone off meat for about 6 months, chicken, mince, pork, wasn’t interested for the longest time but we always made sure she had some on her plate. One day a few weeks ago she picked up a rib and has been back to eating all sorts of meat again, just out of no where. We’ve had a similar experience with strawberries, my mum made a cake and my girl picked out all the strawberries, wouldn’t touch them, we got home 2 days later and dad was eating a bowl of cut up strawberries and she took the bowl, finished everything and asked for more 🥴 just keep trying

We try to just switch up the accompanying food which seems to work. She started to hate spaghetti and would never eat spaghetti bolognaise so we started giving her the mince on a jacket potato and then she’d eat it. Now she’s back to liking spaghetti🤦🏽♀️
I just feel so fucking agitated at the moment. I have 2 under 2 and one of them is autistic. So we have daily meltdowns etc. I'm up at 6am every day and don't sit down till maybe 10pm. I'm doing absolutely everything for them & the only break I get is going to the gym but I'm out for an hour max. As soon as I'm home I'm straight back at it, I don't even have time to shower.
My partners great but I don't think he has any fucking idea just how hard it is being with 2 small kids every minute of the day, managing appointments & the house. I'm starting to resent him. I'm snappy & miserable.
I resent my dog. He stinks & keeps malting everywhere. He's old so keeps shitting in the house.
The kids have kicked off for me all morning, yet as soon as he's here its calm & I look dramatic.
I'm not enjoying being a mum cos I can't cope with the constant stress. I've got adhd and autism so I'm overstimulated very quickly.
I've had ENOUGH.

My husband has an issue with me wearing sexy undies to work. Yesterday, I wore a thong for the first time in years because I'm just tired of my panty line showing 🙃 and oh my gosh he was very unhappy. He says that if he's not happy about it then I wouldn't do it. I should wear it at home. He says things like " men can tell I'm wearing a thong. " I don't respect him because I wear it to work, and he does not like etc. I just can't believe that it bothers him so much. I told him if I feel the need to wear it outside the house I will. It's not every time I want my panty line showing. I literally have less than 4 thongs, and only one Yesterday in years. No one sees under my clothes, so what's the issue. Please give me some advice on this? Who's wrong in this situation?

What snack ideas would you have for a 19 month old that will keep her entertained on a 9 hour flight and will fit in these little compartments? Will take more of course.

My toddler is strong willed. He knows what he wants and how he wants it.
Not all communication styles work with a strong willed child.
Any who, about 60 percent of the time when I pick him up from nursery they complain about his behaviour and him not listening. He is fricken 2 and half years old!
Before nursery he never had behavioural issues.
Any who I worry now they are putting this constant though in his mind that he is a bad kid.
He would say things like I'm not going to be a godo boy. Etc.
I got into an argument with my partner about reducing the days. Or even changing the nursery in general.
Am I over reacting?
What would you recommend?
I just remember being younger at schools and teachers constantly shouting or telling off the same kid. Putting this perception in there head that they are naughty, less than. I worry that this can be causing damage. Am I over reacting?

How long did it take to settle your child into nursery? My boy turned 2 end of June and started nursery last Wednesday. He was very tearful the first day but played a little bit, day 2 was the same day 3 he came in with no tears. Monday-Wednesday he was absolutely fine went off on his own. Today was the first day they got me to leave the room and wait in the staff room. I was in there for about 15 minutes until they came and got me to say he was really upset. When I went inside he was screaming so they said I could take him home. Did they do this with your children as I kind of thought but its just teaching him if he screams he will go home sorta thing. Hopefully he gets a bit used to it
