Has anyone had any success of placing babies in their cot awake and them falling asleep independently?
My LO is 10 months, and as soon as put him down (even if showing all the tired cues & drowsy), hes immediately on his front and then pulling himself up! If i leave to get him to self settle, he becomes inconsolable....eventually will fall asleep in my arms but will not be put down!
Any tips/ advice?

Following because same!

Im hoping so! My LO starts next week so im crossing everything!

We cosleep because the cot stopped working for us at 6 months x

God no, only just getting to a point of rocking to sleep rather than feeding to sleep 😆
The self settlers are the rare babies, so dont stress x

Nope she’s still falling asleep on us at night and then being moved to the cot. If it helps my now 3.5 year old self settled from very young and then as she got older separation anxiety etc kicked in and she now needs are help to get to sleep and has since she was a toddler, even though she self settled as a baby, so I wouldn’t stress x

My daughter is also like this! She’s started nursery a couple of days ago and they are somehow able to get her in the cot for naps. She won’t go down for me. I cosleep with her too because she never liked the next-to-me cot. Following this in case anyone has tips!

My baby is the same, we’re actually still feeding to sleep as rocking doesn’t even work ðŸ˜

my first baby needed rocked to sleep til he was about 16 months, then we moved him to a floor bed and just cuddle him to sleep now
my daughter will be put down in her cot, and one of us will sit on the floor next to her and hold her hand until she falls asleep. even as a newborn she'd take herself off in the moses basket x

Mine will go to sleep independent for naps but not bedtime! We’re trying to move away from feeding to sleep atm so have been rocking instead (nkt sure if that’s any better!). I think it’s def a temperament thing as my first self settled with no issues basically from birth and we did all the same things second time round.

Mine was but since about a month ago his sleep has really gotten awful and now he screams and screams every bed and nap time. And in the night!!
How much colostrum should I bring with me to the hospital? I’ve got about 20ml but don’t want to take all of the syringes with me as I know I won’t use them all. Thank you 😊

When is everyone realistically thinking of putting their babies in their own room? I feel like we would all sleep so much better if mine was in his own room by now!

I gave birth 4 weeks ago and the delivery was difficult, my baby was in the wrong position and with the cord around her neck, but the midwife didnt check and got me to push for an hour with no luck. I then was taken to the operating room and had a forceps delivery with an episiotomy. Im now 4 weeks post partum and I am conscious of my intimate area as I can always feel it but its not exactly painful just not comfortable like it was before. A few days ago a midwife said my stitches look to have gone now and it looks healed but I know ill get it properly reviewed at the 6 week medical check. My husband and I do want to be intimate as its been a while now, but im conscious that my area doesnt look or feel the same as it did before and I dont know what it will be like when I do have sex again. Im curious what others experiences have been who have had an episiotomy.

How are we all making bottles through the night feeds when the guidance is to make every one fresh? Baby wakes and immediately cries for milk, and I don’t want to keep her waiting too long while preparing a feed.
