How would you feel if your husband was stealing food for his family?

So my family is low income and on a tight budget. We often only buy things on sale or use the very little government assistance we have which really doesn’t help that much. And I found out my husband has been stealing things like meat and fish because they are the most expensive things we buy and he wants lower our grocery bill. He’s also started to steal other miscellaneous food items to cut our bill. I understand he’s doing it to feed his family but I’m sooo scared he’s going to get in trouble 😭

Apparently, there’s a max you can rack up, depending on where you live like for example grand theft is $1000 in Ontario and the max at the Walmart is if you steal $500 and we’ve noticed that you’ve stolen $500 we’re gonna notice and we’re gonna talk with you and we’re gonna get the police involved. Does that make sense? I don’t know it’s a legit thing, but my friend who works in retail but grocery stores says it’s legit, but I’ve never had a real life example to give you from it🤷‍♀️

I mean I'm not proud of it but I hair had to before just to eat before and survive before kids. There's been a few times unintentionally where I've forgotten to pay due to the kids being alot and I'm overwhelming or.they grab something I don't notice but never on purpose anymore. I'd definitely be careful and try not to be around him or have him with the kids when he's doing it.

I’ve heard stories of mommies stealing diapers & formula I personally wouldn’t say ish if I seen that happening 🤷🏽‍♀️ik it’s sorta different cuz it’s your hubby stealing food but personally I don’t see it as too wrong unless he’s being stupid about it he gotta feed his family somehow

If definitely talk to him and tell him to stop. It’s gonna be so much worse for yall if he gets caught for like one comment said if there is a max amount and he’s passed that because if he gets caught he could go to jail and that’s not gonna be good for anyone. And gonna me so much more money. Have him stop and then try and I assume you probably already have been doing this but look for a better job

I would ask him to stop because this could potentially be worse. Not everybody will turn a blind eye anymore.

Look up food banks, and see if there are churches, soup kitchens, or other places that will help you guys out.
There's also apps that might be helpful like Flashfood or Too Good To Go.
As for grocery stores, Aldi is so worth it if you're near one, as well as WinCo and/or Grocery Outlet.

Husband

My husband says I’m weak minded and he wants a divorce.
I’m pregnant and we have one child together.
I currently am a stay at home mum.

I told him I’m not weak minded or jealous.
All this coming out so harshly is pure evil.

I said divorce but let me find a job first.
He did say to abort the child too.
He is happier without me.

He says first pregnancy I shown no hormonal symptoms like I am now.

Also he says never seen someone argue with their parents like me. I said my dad is a wind up and mum is hot headed.
I still speak to them after we do argue.

I said give one good quality of me.
He says I’m good at cleaning.
I said what about intelligence?

He did not say anything.

He said I hope after abortion you are fine.
I’m like wtf is wrong with you?
I am a fucking strong woman, I’m not weak minded or jealous.

Because of me he don’t have to do drop off and pick ups from nursery.

I actually will probably do an abortion as don’t want to have it with this man.

I want to leave him asap and take my son with me.

Annoyed at partner

Would love some opinions. My husband has been commenting this evening about how tired and achy he is feeling, we have both been a little ill the last few days. this in itself doesn’t annoy me too much because I can appreciate that I have looked after our 4 month old all day and he has been out working all day. What annoys me is the following-
1. He came home after work and it was nearly an hour and a half before he finally came downstairs and took over care of our daughter. In the time he was just chilling I did a whole feed and two nappy changes plus general care.
2. He says he’s so tired knowing full well that he will have a decent night sleep tonight and I will be the one getting up to do feed and changes throughout the night etc …which irritates me as it feels like a real lack of awareness for what is ahead for me
3. Tomorrow (Saturday) he is going to watch his team play football with his dad so I will be on my own looking after baby most of the day. He made a joking comment about how he’s so tired that when he gets back from football tomorrow he will need to sleep the rest of the weekend …again I feel a complete lack of awareness on his part and appreciation for how I am feeling and how exhausted I am , plus the fact that I never feel like I get time to myself or time to do things I like the way he does
Am I being too sensitive? Should I say anything?

Is he wrong or am I?

My partner told me we’re tight on money right now because of some things going poorly with business which is fate.

However, I needed some basic things like food and mouse traps because we have a mice infestation in our garage which is attached to our house so I’m scared they’ll get in.

Anywho, he got upset with me and said “I think you just buy stuff at the store that you don’t need because you have nothing else to do” …………..so because I’m a SAHM he thinks I have nothing to do and all I ever but is basic things we need and make some makeup sometimes if he lets me. My clothes are going bad, my things are literally RATTY because I need new ones and I’m ALWAYS BUSY as a SAHM. So idk why he’s so comfortable telling me I just buy shit for the hell if it when he was literally flirty with this girl at a sweet shoppe and spent $30 on sweets just for him AFTER he told me we need to save money………..

Inappropriate comments at work

My colleague today mentioned ‘wait for if you have a second baby’ as I was saying I try not to give my LO too much sugar, to which my manager said ‘she’s not allowed a second remember’. I immediately said I could report him to HR for that comment and he said yes I could and he was only joking. This isn’t the first time, I’ve been back at work since January and he made a joke when I returned I wasn’t allowed to sit in the ergonomic chair I’d ordered during pregnancy in case I ‘got ideas again’. He also asked me in front of colleagues at lunch after I returned if I wanted more kids/was planning to have more. We’re extremely short staffed and as soon as I got back from maternity, my colleague started hers and now I think he’s worried I will get pregnant again when she returns soon. It is said in jest and we are a close team but these comments and questions are bothering me as it’s not my fault we’re short staffed.

Would these bother you or am I being sensitive? I’m thinking of emailing him so it’s logged that I’m not appreciating these questions or comments.

Has anyone experienced similar?

8 month old constantly having meltdowns

Hey everyone! My son just turned 8 months old yesterday. For about a week now he is just constantly having meltdowns. Diaper changes? Meltdown. Clothes? Meltdown. Bath time or bed time? Meltdown. Mama puts him down for a second? Meltdown. I know he’s teething. I know it’s developmental as well… but HOW ARE WE MAKING IT THROUGH???
I give him toys he’s never seen during diaper changes. Doesn’t work most of the time. He still wants to roll and be chaotic. He’s been crawling for 2 months now and that has only made changes worse.

I feel like I’m FAILING. I feel like he just hates me all of a sudden. I have to put him somewhere safe and walk away minimum 5 times a day. I’m a stay at home mom. No friends or family near us. I’m struggling so bad. I get angry and I just leave the area and cry. I’m so defeated.
