Would nursery tell you if your baby isn’t doing well at nursery?

My baby has been going to nursery for two months now. She is so upset when I drop her off , she barely sleeping there and she seem like a shell of herself when we pick her up.

When we are off work and spend the day with her she is so happy all day.

I just wonder the nursery teachers says she has settled in really well. But I’m just unsure because in the end the nursery is a business and they make money of us.
So I feel unsure if they would be honest with us, if they thought the nursery isn’t suitable for my bby.

Has anyone got experience where the nursery told you it wasn’t working and the baby is un happy ? Or did you go on your own gut feeling?

Thank you

They will be honest. A very unsettled baby is very hard work for them all day so I don’t think they’d keep her there long term if she wasn’t happy. It’s a business but most nurseries have long waiting lists so they’d just replace your child with another (sorry to be blunt!).

2 years in my son still cries going to nursery but as soon as the gate shuts he’s living his best life! Some days even now he’s overwhelmed of an evening nursery day is a long busy day for them! Do you do some things in the evening to wind down?

Does she seem happy in photo updates you get of the day?

What Yasmin says, they'd tell you. They wouldn't want a kid that cries all day. Your daughter might just be sad about how much time you're spending with her. I'm talking about quality time, not changing the nappy or feeding, getting changed etc. How much quality time (playing) are you spending together each day? If the answer isn't at least a few hours, you may need to adjust your life to spend time with your daughter, make her happy at home

Yes they would tell you and ultimately they will probably be a bit more realistic about what not doing well is compared to us as parents - they will be familiar with the real warning signs compared to when a baby is just taking a bit longer to settle, whereas we will immediately want to fix any unhappiness. It sounds like she’s just tired and still adjusting. Could anyone else try a drop off and see if it helps? Once me and my partner starting splitting the morning drops and it wasn’t just me, the tears massively lessened.

Was your kindergartner this ready??

Could your child do half this list? Or the entire list or very few?

Husband Met A Prostitute

I found out my I guess ex husband went to see a prostitute and had drinks with her. He claimed he talked about me … I would be an idiot to believe that’s all they did.

I told him to leave the home for a day. I kicked him out before when he disrespected me. This time, he didn’t come back. And I think it’s good he didn’t but my chest still hurts from it all. I just had my twins August 16th.. im like 40 days post partum or something like that. He left his expensive e-bike charger here. Idk how he’s working if he can’t charge his bike. It’s been four days since he left. I feel like he’s probably with someone right now. I mean it didn’t take that long for him to have sex w me when we first met. He even told me before he’d have sex with a new person to get over me. “He knows this way works.” My chest hurt but I try not to think about it too long for the twins sake. They need my healthy mind. I let some tears fall but I know not to let my chest sink too much. I really wanted a family. I didn’t want to be a single mom — but meeting with a prostitute?? How could I ever forgive that. And then he said she was a friend. Why would you save your friends name as prostitute, block her, and then delete the messages between you two. It all hurts so much. Would anyone want to play iMessage games or talk about life plans or something as a distraction? Wtf am I supposed to do. I just keep going one hour at a time. There’s only so much TikTok to distract me from my heart being crushed.

Am i being unreasonable

Am i being unreasonable? My partner has a cold, and didnt work yesterday, so i expected him to help with the baby so i could have an hour or two off (this was after he slept in till 1pm) he thinks that as hes the one who is ill i shouldnt be doing less than what i would on a normal day when hes at work so i shouldnt ask him to help, which i said i would be okay with if thats the same for when im ill, that i get to do nothing and rest, which is obviously not going to be the case and he basically said as much

He also believes if hes too ill to work hes too ill to look after the baby, which i dont agree with because she has to be looked after regardless if one or both of us is ill

If it was a serious illness it would be different, but its a cold

Please be honest if you think im unreasonable because i am on my period so maybe im over reacting a bit but just want advice

Would this upset you?

My boyfriend told me tonight that he thinks his life has gone down hill since 25. He’s 29 currently, we’ve known each other for 11 years but only got together 3 years ago when he was 26, our daughter was born in December when he was 28.

Today was my 25th birthday, long story short it was an awful day. Only my mom and my sister acknowledged it was my birthday, I couldn't leave the house because my car is currently broken and my boyfriend is prepping for harvest so he wasn't home until really late.

He asked me how it felt to be 25 and I said it was okay, he said “good, because it only goes downhill from here” so I said “do you really think your life has gone down hill since you were 25” because I thought it must have been a joke.

But no he was dead serious, he then explained to me that not just 25 he thinks his life has gotten worse since he was 23. Which honestly hurt because we got together and our amazing daughter being born has happened since his life ‘got worse’.

Just a vent

I hate to admit but I’m really struggling with my 11 month old little boy at the moment 😓
Everything seems to be a problem in his eyes, take something away he shouldn’t be playing with? Screams and throws a tantrum. Nappy change? Absolute carnage. Sleeping through the night? I wish, he has me up every 2 hours it feels like and we co sleep just to save my sanity. He wants to be held but also hates being restricted. It’s like I can never keep him happy for more than 5 minutes 🥲
His dad also works nights so I get no help really except on a weekend and even then it’s minimal.
I love him to death and when he’s happy and chatty it’s the most precious feeling but he is just so cranky and I find myself losing patience with him at times which of course turns into massive guilt.
I just needed to get it off my chest and see if anyone else resonates with this stage 😓🥲
