Hi ladies, I'm looking for some advice. I've tried breathing exercises, tea, loooong walks (I think that's what has helped me the most), I go to the gym whenever I can (2 or 3 times a week), and still I feel like I'm doing it all wrong.
I'm feeling extremely guilty for everything I do, everything I'm not doing, I feel like a terrible mom but I know objectively I'm not. Also I get frustrated so easily, my baby is almost 10mo and teething, and he's not sleeping good, I know nothing is his fault, he's a perfect cute little baby, but I can't help to get frustrated and I just want to cry and pull my hair out.
Sorry for the long rant, I just feel very lonely and have no one who could possibly understand what I'm going through. If you have any advice, or kind words I'm very grateful and happy to read you!

This is so relatable for so many mothers. You are constantly having to adjust in ways you didn't before, so give yourself some grace. It's a hard job to care for a little human and yourself!

Youre doing great, its called mom guilt for a reason, no matter what you do youll find somthing always makes you feel guilty
But youre doing amazing there will be difficult times and easy times just try take time for yourself when possible xx

When things are hard you need to vent to someone who understands. You need to feel like your feelings are valid but also learn how to let them go and not control you. Bottling them up makes it so much harder. Start focusing on and really celebrating the things you are doing well, for example... say to yourself you need to acknowledge 3 different things you have done really well each day. What you focus on will completely change your perspective over time.

Babies don't need perfect mothers but the ones that show up for them and do a repair, we're all humans constantly learning it's understandable you're trying your best for your baby, but have some grace for yourself. Just the thing you're sitting here worrying makes you a loving and caring mom you're doing better than you think you are x

Sometimes when I give my son to my husband, just to hold him or play with him while I do something else or take a bit of rest, i feel so guilty that I am trying to get rid of him. Even though it is to his father. So it’s very normal. You are not alone. Just keep reminding yourself that you are doing your best and you are taking care of your child. Try to distract yourself when feeling that way.

I feel like a horrible mom, because I know I should take my 20 month old girl out almost everyday but I don’t feel like it at all. Firstly I work night shifts ( 4 nights in a week, some 3 nights back to back, 1 day off and the last night).
when I come back home i only get 2 hours sleep and I have to look after her because she hasn’t started nursery, make food and so on. My partner is just annoying and doesn’t help even when he’s currently not working right now. I still have to do everything for her.. and then I’m so tired and don’t feel like going out for a walk or any play gym.
I don’t know but I feel like I’m doing a bad job and not being a good mom at all.

Hello moms! I’m desperate, my little one has never been a good eater he is 2.5 years now and his iron is very low! 11. The minimum is 20. Has anyone had this issue? Any advice on recipes? Iron rich food for picky eaters/ experience with supplements? I’m very concerned! First time and solo mom! Thanks

Feeling at a loss. Baby is nearly 7 months and we started weaning at 5.5 months as he gave all the signs. It hasn’t gone well at all and he still is hardly eating any meals unless it’s the pouches (which I don’t want to give him). I’ve also started giving him breakfast in the form of porridge or Weetabix and he just screams in his chair. I don’t know what to do as it just ends in tears for both of us!

How would you navigate my situation?
My brother (and only sibling) wants to fly in from overseas to visit for Christmas, but with my due date being late November, I have some anxiety around a few things.
1. He’s a heavy smoker and even if I ask him not to smoke before he sees baby, he still smells like it. I don’t want our newborn baby smelling or inhaling any of that off his clothing.
2. It’s just awkward - I’m uncomfortable with him staying with us, and my husband and I will restrict guests over Christmas to 30-45 minute visits. It’s really not worth him flying across the world to see us for 30 mins a day, if that.
We don’t plan to restrict our extended family completely, at the same time no one else we know is a heavy smoker and since they live here it won’t matter if they only pop by for a short period of time. My mum is flying in to stay with us to support us postpartum for 1 month.
How is everyone planning to go about Christmas and holiday season? Especially if you have family overseas?
