Just looking for anyone who is in the same boat ❤️
My 5-week-old little man definitely gave me false hope with how chilled he was for the first couple of weeks! 😂 The past two weeks, though, he has really struggled with the whole “knowing how to be” thing. He has mild reflux and on-and-off episodes of bringing his milk back up, particularly during the night.
But now the witching hour seems to have turned into a witching 3 hours from the afternoon onwards! He goes into a full-on temper cry and nothing seems to console him. I can usually tell when his cries are because he’s uncomfortable or in pain, but sometimes he just goes from 0–100 and becomes completely inconsolable until he gets his bottle.
He wants feeding pretty much every hour, fights sleep during the day and is waking every couple of hours through the night. 😩
Please tell me this gets easier? 🥺
I’m a solo mum and live in a small flat, and honestly, I’ve found these episodes really hard to manage on my own. I’ve pretty much moved in with my parents recently, and they have been an absolute godsend. They both work full-time and are tired themselves, but they’ve given me so much help and support.
I’m trying really hard not to feel like a burden or guilty for needing them, or for struggling to navigate my own space and manage this whole new adventure on my own.
I know I’m doing my best, but some days it just feels really, really hard. ❤️
If anyone has been through this around 4–6 weeks, please tell me it gets better!

My daughter is 7 weeks and we're still in it but I read somewhere it gets better from 8 weeks.
Im kicking myself now because the first couple of weeks I kept telling everyone how easy going she was.😂
My partner has been away for work for past week aswell so I've had 0 help, he is back tonight and I look like an unwashed tramp and the house is a tip 😬

My twins are 8 week now and it’s been hell at night from 9-10 pm untill 2-4am there are screaming we have been on Gaviscon since they was 4 weeks old and just been moved omeprazole im praying it works better
I will give you an update in a couple if u remember

My baby girl is 7 weeks tomorrow I am the same in the thick of it 😂 first couple of weeks she was an angel now the reflux started the crying for nothing started, the lack of sleep makes things even worse, you have got this!
Now my baby has a cold which is tipping me over the edge with the reflux and trapped wind and I feel like its a vicious circle!
I’ve found if you haven’t already buying the black and white toy bundle thing off of Amazon and it’s kept her entertained if only for 30 minutes it still helped.
I started a somewhat routine now with her and it’s helped at night time, I bath her around 18:30pm with Johnson’s bedtime bath stuff and then have a bottle ready with a dim light on, but as I have two step children who are bouncing around I try to get her used to not waking up at every noise so also keep the TV on, I have abit of me time when she falls to sleep about 8pm and she has been going to sleep wakes at midnight, usually 2am then 6am xx
Wanted to get some opinions from the general mom community since I’ve gotten mixed feedback from different people in my life.
My three month old recently started daycare as my maternity leave is ending this week. The place is overall wonderful - highly accredited, friendly staff, and teachers that really seem to genuinely care about the kids.
I’ve got no real complaints (though there was mention in the first week that I shouldn’t use duct tape for labeling bottles because it sparked in the microwave, which uh, why was the bottle in the microwave at all?? That’s like the one bottle rule I’ve seen everywhere - don’t heat up bottles in the microwave!) but my son comes home every day smelling very strongly of perfume. It’s been my understanding that strong smells are a real no-no around infants and I’ll admit that I’ve always been sensitive to perfume, but it’s overwhelming. The smell lasts on his head hours after he gets home.
I don’t want to be a curmudgeon and police what these childcare workers wear, but I feel like I should say something? My mom has worked in early childhood development all her life and is aghast that the staff is allowed to wear perfume around kids, but my husband doesn’t think I should say anything since it’s not my place. I generally agree with him and don’t want to ruin our relationship with the staff, but I can’t get over the smell on my kid every night.
What are y’all’s thoughts? Do I get over it? Say something? Help!

I see a lot of posts online about baby clearing their plate and while my little one does eat he does not clear his plate. After four /five spoons he is very fussy and refuses - some days we are lucky to get 2 spoons worth .
Just wondering if this is just my baby ?

I’m 10 weeks postpartum and my boyfriend keeps saying when am I going to lose weight. I was a size 8 uk before pregnancy and now I’m a size 10 and only a stone heavier. Which isn’t a big jump. But he says he couldn’t be with someone that was fat. I’m breastfeeding so I need to get my calories in so I can’t go on a complete calorie deficit. Since he’s been saying it I’ve not felt like having sex as hate being naked around him now. Is this what most partners say?
Also if I go out too much in the week. He has a problem with it saying house work needs to be done. Which I do keep on top off. It’s always tidy and clean (He does have OCD). I always make sure he has tea every night. I don’t go out for long but it’s nice to socialise as my boyfriend mostly works 7 days a week. I always use my own money as well even though he says I can take from the joint account. He just feels like he’s working 7 days a week and that I shouldn’t be going out too much (which i don’t feel like I am) I’ll go out some weeks more than others. Am I in the wrong as I don’t know for sure as he is working hard?
Apart from all of that, he’s so good with our daughter and does help in the evening with her. He works hard and does tidy after himself and he rings me on his break. So he’s got a lot more pros than cons but I just wanted to know peoples opinions on it?

There is a family well known in our village for drinking from 10.30am, horrible language to their kids and each other, potential violence and the father is in and out of prison. They have 4 girls and a boy.
My daughter has been in their youngest daughter’s class since she started school and has recently been in a split year class which has 2 daughters in. My daughter is forming a bit of an attachment to the older girl this year and they keep asking to do play dates. I’ve been warned by their next door neighbours not to get involved and from the info I’ve heard, I don’t want my daughter to be at their house (she is 5). There have been incidents of the girls physically fighting each other and other kids they play with.
How do I deter the friendship outside of school ie tell my daughter she can’t do play dates not that they can’t be friends..
I also don’t want it to get back to the parents due to the potential physical repercussions..

My mum was suggesting we go out tomorrow with the kids. Talks of getting the bus. But I feel like 3 weeks is too young? But maybe I'm wrong! I just don't want the baby getting ill. She had a stuffy nose last week and she slept so badly it was no fun for anyone! Plus she got a small temp and we had to go to hospital. She was completely fine! But want to avoid doing that again if we can 😅 but then again I do have a 3 year old who brings everything home from nursery anyway!! 🤧
