Working out while pregnant!💪🏽

Hey ladies! I am currently 29.5 weeks pregnant with my second child. Although I am still making it to the gym twice a week I want to go more. My mom and friends are telling me I should be resting and should stop working out. I am a very active person and I was lifting 5 times a week prior to being pregnant. What are your opinions on this?!

Keep working out!!! Don't listen to the people telling you to rest more, they are not right. Working out is actually fantastic for you and it will give you a better labor and recovery experience. I think you should do your research and learn all the benefits and teach the ones around you. You are a rockstar! I'm here 21 weeks and doing my best to make it 3 times a week at minimum but motivation is not there even tho I love lifting! If you can and have the energy to workout more days I would do it. Why no?

I worked out until a week before I gave birth with my most reason pregnancy and the day before with my second pregnancy. Girl keep moving! Listen to your body and as long as your doctor/ midwife has given you the okay then do your thing.
Working out was so good for my mental health, pregnancy, and labor 💪🏾💪🏾

I kept all my scheduled work outs all the way until birth for both my kids. For example, I typically do my low weight/hi reps on Tuesdays, first was born on a Thursday and second born on A Saturday.
Make adjustments as needed, but dont stop! As others said it will help your recovery too.

I worked out the entire pregnancy and made adjustments in weight or modifications in exercises as needed

I have seen pregnant mamas dancing at my salsa socials. My salsa teacher herself taught all the way through her 2 pregnancies 2yrs apart, all the way up to 39w preg. And came back to teach at 2m PP. And lost all her baby weight a year PP. Working out and keeping active strengthens the core, which is the one thing the weakens mamas the most PP hence lots have a weak pelvic floor after birth. Keep at it!! There’s so many benefits.

Don’t stop working out! As long as you were active before and you’re not starting anything new, it’s fine.

Keep working out but you’ll modify in the last trimesters. If your labor goes well then having that workout energy and strength helps a lot.

If you feel good, just keep working out 💪 👏

Keep working out, as long as you feel good you know your body more then anyone! What better way to prepare your body for the most intense thing you will ever go through! You are smashing it!

I stopped working out with my first pregnancy and wish I didn’t. I ended up a c section, not saying that’s the only reason but my recovery was more difficult.
With my second pregnancy I did Pilates up until 20 weeks and hot yoga until 39 weeks and I had a successful vbac. I felt my recovery overall was much easier.

I’m pregnant again and I’m around 25 weeks and still going to my weekly Pilates class. I think it helps so much with the labor/delivery process and recovery. Even if it’s difficult I think it’s worth it.

Absolutely keep it up! I had really bad pelvic pain in my second pregnancy and couldn’t do long or intense workouts but I did my last workout 2 days before I gave birth and it helped me so much with recovery but also to manage the pain and discomfort:)
