You can have a lovely conversation with another mum, exchange numbers and genuinely think, “I’d love to be friends with her”… then somehow life gets busy and you never actually see each other again
Sometimes I think we all want mum friends, but we’re all tired, busy and waiting for someone else to make the first move.
So I’m curious… what do you find hardest about making mum friends?
Is it approaching someone? Keeping the friendship going? Finding mums with similar interests/ages of kids? Or just finding the time to actually meet? 👀
Let’s have a real mum-to-mum chat 💕 And if you’re also looking for genuine friendships, don’t be shy — say hi, you never know who might be looking for a mum friend too 🫶🏽

Getting caught up in busy life. It helps when your kids have similar interests and ages so you have a way to sync schedules

I find it hard to approach people because of the bad friendships I had in the past

It is SO hard!
Luckily I’ve made a friend from my little girls old school. We text now & then and we meet up with the baby’s occasionally (we have little boys 3 weeks apart).
Sometimes I can be socially awkward so I find it hard to make the first move and I’m terrible at making conversation.
And then I find it hard to keep the friendship going because I feel like i’m annoying texting them. But I think I need to learn to just keep going on and to stop feeling like that otherwise I’ll never have any friends and being a mum can be so lonely especially when the older kids are in school.
I’m literally at home everyday but it would be lush to have some mum friends to text or to meet for coffees etc!❤️❤️

i think the hardest part for me is finding another mom that can match the state of motherhood you’re in. Not saying moms with kids in different age ranges can’t work bc they definitely can and do!! but for example..i’m in the newborn phase right now and i can be having a really great conversation and my bby will need me and i’ll honestly get so caught up in that to where i’ll forget to reply for hours sometimes a day or more i feel so bad about it 😭

Personally I live in a small town and have health problems that make getting out that often physically painful, but I have one actual friend from this app, we keep a streak on Snapchat to prove we're alive and we occasionally chat about random stuff

Let’s chat ! 🤍☺️

The biggest issue I’ve found is that people can’t be bothered putting in effort or going out of their way. A lot of people complain about how hard it is but then don’t reply, hold conversations or are selfish. It’s the saying everyone wants a village but don’t want to be a villager and it’s draining for those of us that constantly give 🥹

Y he hardest thing for me is simply I was the one always reaching out...i think we all have time,we just don't make the time regardless of how busy life is.
Completely lost my sex drive since becoming a mum. Last year we had sex once and I got pregnant 🤣.
We have 2 under 2 now.
We last had sex around 6 months ago - which induced labour 😃
I feel awful but I just never have the capacity for it, never crave it. Don't think it helps that I'm struggling with my body image.
My husband tells me constantly how beautiful I am & looks at me the same as he always has.
When we do it, its mindblowing & i think "why dont we do this more." But then I guess, life gets in the way.
I feel bad on my husband as we don't have any sexual contact but I almost feel sick at the thought of it.
It's not a reflection on him because hes fooooinnneeeee 😍 and i love him with my whole heart.
It's me thats the problem. I'm going to the gym & eating well to try lose weight. But what can I do to get it back within myself?

Petition: Make statutory maternity pay 90% of wage for first 12 weeks & minimum wage after
We believe mothers should never be forced back to work because maternity leave is unaffordable. UK SMP is among Europe’s least generous, falling to around 41% of minimum wage after 6 weeks. The Government should fix this and give mothers 12 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay at 90% of their salary.

How many people have asked their parents to borrow a bit of money to help in the last few months of maternity?
I’m down to £0 pay for the last 3 months and will be picking up an extra job next month but my friends suggested asking my parents to borrow a bit to help me and my parents have made me feel like this is unacceptable and I shouldn’t have asked them.
