Lacking affection

Has anyone else been dealing with a lack of attention and affection from their partner? I’m a first time mom pregnant and I’ve been doing everything alone. My partner works a lot. I feed myself I get my own pregnancy cravings I go on walks/ workout by myself and handle my own emotions I just want to be babied and cared for during my pregnancy

Girl leave! If he has no interest in caring for you and baby while pregnant it’s just gonna become much worse when baby is here, at least that’s what it was like in my case and I wish I just left while pregnant our boy is a year old now and currently trying to sell our house because I’ve had enough

Same here! My husband works crazy hours and even though I can understand he needs to work, I can’t help but feel lonely doing it all by myself!

What has he said when you talk to him about it? Like I personally would hate to be "babied" as you describe, I like to just get on with things rather than being treated like an ill person. But if you need a bit more then communication is key, I'd try that before listening to suggestions that you leave him lol

Yeah and doing everything alone make you not even like that man anymore. Your feeling fades. Because you are like wow? I guess there’s no teamwork. Just WORK. He works while you work with taking care of babies.

How is he when he's not working?

Yes it's normal to feel lonely. My husband was working in a different state my whole pregnancy. It was hard but he was busting his butt to provide for us and get us a home before the baby was born.

MIL & partner issues

So we’re in the middle of building an annex in the garden for my mil. I’m not really keen on the idea since we don’t have a loving joyful relationship. But I knew if I didn’t go along with it my partner would have resented me a little and we’ve already really struggled in our relationship. Plus I’ve just had a baby with a toddler at home and not in the space to deal with any of it. He’s just told me that if at any point in the future I decide it’s not working he would stay with his mum. And he was dead serious 🧐 THOUGHTS?

Betrayed and Alone

I’m posting anonymously because I feel embarrassed and alone, and I could really use some support from other moms.

I thought I was in a relationship with someone who was only dating me. Then another woman reached out, and I learned he had been involved with her too. They’re no longer together, but I still can’t move past the betrayal.

He asked me to move in with him several times. I tried, but I kept leaving because I never felt emotionally safe with him. Now I’m pregnant, and he still wants to see me and have sex with me, but he hasn’t come to any appointments or really acknowledged our baby.

He says he’s upset that I spoke to the other woman and that I mentioned moving to another state with the baby, where I’d have support. I’m alone where I live now, and I was trying to think about how I could manage.

I feel awful. I keep thinking that if I hadn’t gotten back together with him, I wouldn’t be pregnant and facing this alone. Has anyone else dealt with betrayal during pregnancy? How did you get through it?
