General anaesthetic c-section
Does anybody have experience of a c-section under general anaesthetic? I have been told I can not have an epidural due to some health problems and have been given the option of being put to sleep, I unsure of my other options than this or birth with gas and air until I see the anaesthetists 🥲

This nearly happened to me yesterday but for other reasons, luckily I was allowed to continue to normal c section
When are you due your baby? I’m due my little boy on the 16th December and I also have to go under anaesthetic. If your baby is due after mine I can let you know how it went afterwards
Shit, I would rather be knocked out. My mom was knocked out for her C-section. My sister was not and everything wore off in the middle of it and she felt all the cuts. She felt them pull the baby out. I think I’d rather be knocked out lol. If I had to have a C-section, I would be a screaming problem until they agreed to put me under lol
Do you need to have a c-section no matter what? I didn't want the epidural because I dont want a needle in my spine if I can avoid it. I did it with gas and air and then when the contractions were too intense I had the opioid injection
Hi, I had a c section under general in June due to health issues. It was ok but slightly strange as I didn’t wake up for about 1-2 hours after my baby was born but it felt like 5mins before going into theatre. Happy to answer any questions you may have. All the best x

Yes I did, although it wasn’t a choice it was a category 1 emergency c section with no time to repeat failed spinals. Happy to talk if you want
he definitely won’t be allowed in the room. In my opinion, it was very traumatic but as I said, mine was an emergency so I didn’t have time to prepare x
until you have lived the experience of a c section under GA, I don’t think you can be sure of how much you would prefer it

16 weeks
Hi all,
I’m currently 16 weeks with my fourth pregnancy. I am getting a really unsettling feeling about this pregnancy. I cant shake this feeling like there is something wrong. Like I’m going to go to my scan in 4 weeks and they will tell me there is no heart beat. I guess it’s not helping that I can’t feel baby kick not even flutters. I definitely did at this stage in my last pregnancy.

Early scans?
Hey girls! I am roughly 6 weeks pregnant and found out because I was having very bad cramps. I had a scan last week which showed gestational sac and this week a yolk sac inside but still no heartbeat. I have been discharged from epu until routine 12 week scan. I have a previous diagnosis of endometriosis so the cramps could be caused by this but am I right in saying with the cramping and pain I should be seen once more to confirm a heartbeat?

Wanting a VBAC
Hiya ladies I’m currently 39 weeks and 4 days I have opted for a VBAC I had my first child last year in April
I was hopeful for a VBAC at the beginning of this second pregnancy as baby is not breech this time round however as I’m getting close to my due date as well as being in the early labour phase for the last 2 weeks and still stuck at 2cm I’m becoming worried as I’ve been told if I go to 41 weeks they may have to induce me but there are risks of scar rupture leading to an emergency c section anyway.
Today it’s really been sitting on my mind as I’ve been in and out of hospital recently with pains but no progress in dilation so it’s really making me out way my options for a VBAC, hence was wondering if anyone has any positive induction stories after having a c section xz

Elective for first birth?
I’m 11 weeks pregnant and have known since before conception I wanted a c-section. I have only known friends who had traumatic natural births and do not want to risk the “worst of both worlds” with a traumatic natural birth and THEN emergency c-section anyway.
Has anyone else here done this, if so how did you go about telling your midwife, and friends?! I feel there’s so much judgement even though it is supposedly MY choice.

Periods
Hey so did anyone else have really heavy periods when they came back? I'm on what I believe to be my second period (7 months post partum) and its like the great flood or something its crazy.
