I am feeling frustrated. I do all of the nights every day of the week because I’m home and my husband works Monday to Friday. My baby is currently going through the four month regression so I’m up many times a night. My husband is constantly yawning and telling me how tired he is even on the weekends he’s currently sleeping in a different room so he’s not even in the same room as the baby. this morning.l I told him I was feeling really tired and his response was “I feel you”. Of course he can be tired as well from work or other things it’s not a competition however I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be able to sleep through a whole night in a room away from my baby. I’m completely knackered and although he gives me time here and there to catch up for example, he took her downstairs very early this morning so I can get an extra two hours in bed. It doesn’t even start to balance out the sleep I am losing. I feel a lack of awareness on his part and it’s starting to really annoy me…. Am I right to feel this way or being oversensitive? Should I say something or leave it?

Say something! My partner works, sometimes starting at 7am, sometimes finishing at 10pm and we split every night, I can’t even imagine having to do every night on my own! It is just as hard if not harder to look after a baby all day as it is to go to work!

My husband works mon-fri and we still share nights?? That makes no sense. You're looking after a baby which is still working as hard if not harder during yet day. You can't rest?? So how does he expect you to be up in the night alone and also function all day raising a baby? He's being incredibly selfish.

Exactly the same here !! I could strangle him some day 🤣🤣🤣

Do have an honest conversation with him, or you may end up being resentful. That's very hard to overcome. He needs to be aware of what sleep deprivation is, it goes way beyond being 'tired'.

You're not oversensitive, you're 4 months pp!! The sleep deprivation is so tough and it's impossible to understand unless you're in it. Calmly explain how you feel and what would improve things. Men need firm guidance sometimes... x
Hey so I’m looking at buying my little girl one of the metal little dutch prams instead of a push walker for Christmas so was hoping people that have one would be able to let me know if it seems like it would work well, she’ll be 7ish months (around the age her brother started using his walker) and is on the taller side but I don’t know anywhere near me that sells them in store so can’t go and see for myself how tall the handle is and how sturdy it feels, TIA x

My little one is two weeks away from turning six months old. We’ve started weaning her on vegetables. A few weeks ago she used to sleep for five to seven-hour stretches but the last week has been awful. She wakes up every hour or two, crying but her eyes are closed. I rock her to sleep or sometimes feed her to sleep. The only way she’ll sleep for any length of time is in bed with me and my partner – not ideal! Has anyone else been through this or is currently experiencing it? Any tips on how to help my little one sleep longer or through would be really appreciated. Thanks! X

I’m absolutely baffled…I had SO many people coming for me on TikTok because I said I top my baby up.
I had a rough start to breastfeeding, baby had jaundice & a tongue tie so she was on the boob 24/7 but wasn’t gaining the weight back that she lost. Everyone was super concerned and kept saying she will be admitted to hospital if I continue just breastfeeding. I was advised to pump at every feed. Then feed her that in a bottle after a feed. Then if she’s still hungry, give her some formula. She has never been sick from ‘over feeding’. She’s not a sicky baby at all. So there’s no signs that I’m giving her more than she can handle.
Anyways, It made her weight go up super fast, now that she’s back up to birth weight, the Drs, midwives, health visitors & lactation consultants have all told me to CONTINUE what I’m doing. It’s made her weight stable and it’s made her so much more of a happy baby.
Everyone on tiktok was saying that what im doing is dangerous and misleading to other new mums and saying i shouldn’t ever top up. Saying crying all day is normal because its to build my supply (even tho baby is on boob constantly + im pumping).
Im honestly so confused. What happened to feeding on demand? What happened to following hunger ques? What happened to listening to medical advice?
As if I’m being told by strangers to just let my baby be hungry all day. So so confused!
I NEVER knew topping up was viewed so badly and strongly by people!
I really wish I didn’t have to, I wish my breast was enough for her. I wish I could feed for 20 mins then leave the house but I can’t. She’d be on the boob 24/7. We wouldn’t be Able to do anything! I had 2 weeks of that before the feeding plan it was hell.

I honestly don’t know how I’ve managed to do that especially as a second time mum. I completely missed judged how much newborn & up to 1 months sleepsuits and vest I had from my first so I brought a few more and I’ve washed everything and was putting everything away and omg the draw is complete fully 😩😭 I hope baby can use them for at least the first 2-3 months like my first… 😩

My baby is 11 days old, she’s formula fed… I took my baby to doctors on Friday for not pooing, the doctor said keep an eye and be worried if she goes longer than 7 days, she had a poo early hours this morning but it was very pebble like rabbit droppings, she is still feeding, having wet nappies, alert ect… is there anything I can do to help her? I’m going to get another appointment tomorrow at GP but don’t know if I should be overly concerned, has anyone else had this? Her stomach often feels hard but I am under the understanding that’s the common sign of constipation
