39 weeks induction or c section

I spoke with friends, heard different experiences and then thought about what I wanted. I felt quite pressured by consultants to have an induction, but I had a lovely midwife one appointment who reminded me it was my birth, my choice. I also have EDS, so wanted to do the best thing for myself with that. I had a c-section and don’t regret it at all.

I was pressured to have an induction.. went ahead. Was in hospital 6 days and all 3 inductions failed. They asked if I wanted to have another round or opt for an elective the following day. Went for a c-section and it was the best decision!! X

I was induced at 39 weeks for GD. They didn’t want me going past my due date, and I didn’t really want that either because I was on metformin and injecting insulin, and was miserable as everything I ate spiked my sugars regardless of what it was. I actually lost weight and gave birth the same weight as when I got pregnant. My induction took a week and she came on my due date anyway 😅 it was just a lot of waiting around. I’d make the same decision again.

I was induced and it was really painful and a really not very nice experience. I'd really consider a section this time if I had to be induced again. Really hoping as I'm having my second that it will be spontaneous but totally get what you're saying it's such a hard decision
