Hello! I’m a first time mom and I’m in a few mom groups but I don’t feel like I connect with anyone. Most of the groups contain moms who either have issues with their spouse, have PPD or just have a bad outlook on being a mom. I try to connect but I haven’t experienced any of that with my baby or husband. From the pregnancy up until now, I haven’t experienced any sadness, feeling disconnection to my baby or husband , haven’t been depressed or upset. I’ve been enjoying literally every moment of motherhood. I don’t mind being up all night if baby decides to not sleep, I breastfeed and co-sleep (please don’t judge, baby has a in-bed bassinet) . I don’t want to seem like I’m better than the other moms cause I know I’m not so I just keep my distance as I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable 😔

I don’t think you meant this in a negative way, but I think the wording comes across a little mom-shamey. Having PPD, struggling with your marriage, or admitting that motherhood is hard doesn’t mean someone has a “bad outlook on being a mom.” You can absolutely love your baby and love being a mom while still struggling. It’s wonderful that your experience has been so positive, but listing all the ways you haven’t struggled in comparison to the other moms makes it sound a little like you view their experiences as something negative. You might actually connect with them more than you think if you stopped looking at the differences as reasons to keep your distance. We're all just out here doing our best. ❤️

We all have different experiences and that's totally ok 🩷 I'm sorry you feel like you need to keep your distance. Your feelings and experiences are also valid and matter even though they may differ from someone else's. If you ever wanna chat feel free to message me.

Hi there👋🏼 I don’t think you should feel bad about that but I assume your very emphatic and I get that 🥰 excuse my english its 4am and its my second language haha anyways I have had a very similar experience I think 😊 if you‘d like to chat just send me a dm 😇
Ps: how amazing for you that everything’s going so well! 😍🥰

Maybe its an online thing where ppl mostly post when they look for advice from the crowd, have you tried in person?

I kinda get what you mean I found myself in a similar group chat and I found it very hard to connect or even respond because I could not relate. I also breastfeed and co-sleep and it’s a life saver!! I wouldn’t get any sleep anyway other way. I won’t say I haven’t experienced any sadness because being a mom can be lonely sometimes but overall my experience has been great.

Wow you are doing amazing! Why do you feel that people will be against you? There’s many mamas out there just like you. Me for example. I cosleep as well especially in the morning but I do get anxiety so I always put my bbabies back in bassinet. I stay up all night with my kids since i don’t like to force sleep on nobody.. I would feel guilty. My partner oppose and says I need to put them on schedule knowing I’m too mentally drained to. It’s really hard being a mother. I’m pregnant while taking care of 2 toddlers.

Are you only looking for friends who have the exact same experiences as you?
Feeling lonely?
Hi! I’m a 23 year old ftm to a baby boy. I’m about 7 months postpartum and throughout my whole pregnancy till now, I’ve struggled with feeling alone lol. I have some friends and my man but it’s been hard to find other people to relate to during this time. Especially since a lot of the moms I’ve encountered are so different (not that that’s bad), either in age or walks of life.
I’m not the most extroverted person ever, but I crave connection.
I’m not sure how to combat this and get myself out of this rut. If anyone has any feedback, comments, and solutions please let me know! I’m open to hearing all responses :))
Thanks!

My manager has just removed me from the work group chat and her only text was to tell me that she’s doing that until I return. The group chat is nothing but a bit of banter so no serious work talk. It’s made me feel a bit low. And felt like it wasn’t something that was really necessary.

I don’t know which brand to choose.
I’m looking to get pregnant sometime in nov.
With my first pregnancy, I was using materna but that’s when I knew nothing about ingredients. I need something less toxic ingredients.
I saw another brand, Jamieson but I’m not sure if it’s vitamin A was too high. I asked AI. It said it was just right.
It has iron.
Is that brand good or is there another?
Please I have no idea about this stuff
Thank you mamas!

Why do I even bother trying to make friends anymore? I just get ghosted or they lose interest

Okay mamas, I need y’all to be REAL with me because maybe I’m overthinking, but I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to feel about this. 😩
My fiancé and I were out having a pretty good, chill day. We stopped to get an oil change, and while they were working on the car, he got our daughter out and sent me back to the car to grab some things.
I look down and see an EMPTY CONDOM WRAPPER in the car. 😐
Now, we haven’t been having sex like that lately, and I know I haven’t had anybody else in the car or been sexually involved with anybody else. So obviously I was caught completely off guard and upset.
I asked him about it, and his response was basically, “I was about to ask you the same thing.” Then he said he hasn’t “thrashed nobody in the car recently.” 🙃
And THAT wording has me stuck because… what exactly does “recently” mean?! 😭
Am I wrong for feeling like that response raised even MORE questions instead of answering the original one? I’m not saying I know he cheated because I don’t. But I feel like I have a right to ask where an empty condom wrapper in our car came from, especially when we haven't been sexually active like that.
Then he got mad at me for how I reacted, and now I’m sitting here wondering if I’m being gaslit or if there’s an explanation I’m not thinking of.
I’m not looking for people to automatically tell me “LEAVE HIM” or “HE CHEATED.” 😂 I genuinely want honest perspectives from moms: How would YOU interpret this situation, and what would you ask him?
