Ella’s kitchen have a free weaning/ food chart and recipes you can access when signing up on their website. That might be handy for you if you’re stuck and need a bit of inspo :) anything healthy with no added salt and sugars!

I just blend meals. Chicken, potato and broccoli blended with milk. Mince sweet potato and carrots. Just so there is protein carb and veg!

I give mine the same as what I eat but prepared in a suitable way...doing baby led weaning. Solid starts app is really helpful to show you how to prepare food

Same as
It’s easier to adapt what you’re making. If timings don’t work out mine might eat her’s the following day if needed x

Their iron levels drop off at 6 months so iron rich foods like beans/lentils, green veg, red meat, fish, oats all good. I batch cook bolognaise or chicken stew with no stock or salt and then give her that with rice, pasta or mashed root veg like potato, sweet potato, parsnip, pumpkin. To make the sauce I add lots of peeled tomatoes and peppers with herbs, onion and garlic to a ban. Cook through then blitz in a mixer and add to the meat or fish. You can eat the same stuff just season yours or it’s a bit bland! Also add in some cucumber batons or slices of avocado that they can hold and chew on. I also make up a batch of chia pudding as chia contains so many good nutrients. It’s so easy. Add chia seeds to fruit puree or milk, o sometimes use coconut milk then add purée on top when it’s set. You leave the seeds in the mix overnight and stir it in the morning and it’s ready to go. My baby eats better when we are together eating the same thing as they like mimicking you. Hope that helps.

Whatever you’re having! No need to buy anything else or make anything different. Just serve it in a way that’s suitable for baby. Solid starts is a good app to use. X

Break time.

Being told I don’t need a break because he provides for me. All I asked is for some help. Something as simple as getting a two hour break. Not everyday but on days I’m really tired.

Outside of motherhood I’m a human and I find it insane that him taking breaks by going out and doing whatever he pleases it’s not a problem, me asking to get a few hours to myself is and that he is not obligated to take care of our child if he doesn’t feel like it.

I’ll let that sit here.

Is my boyfriend too traditional or selfish?

He says he gives 8 hours of his life to his job M-F and he’s tired of coming home to do things he doesn’t want to/be inconvenienced. He’s talking about watching our son while I go to the food pantry. I can’t take our son because it’s a lot for me as I’m 8 months pregnant. My son is 10 months pregnant.

He was raised in a traditional home where his mom would do everything for him and his dad would work. He never did the dishes, cooked, or did his own laundry. I know he expects the same from me. I am trying my best to give him that since I’m a SAHM but i’m not used to doing that. In my eyes we should be 50/50 or he could help out a little more.

We also have two pets that he barely takes care of. I’m stuck cleaning our cat’s litter box (even though i shouldn’t while pregnant) or else it won’t get done.

Struggling

All I see online or from friends is that they can’t put their babies down as they are clingers and constantly want their mums,
My baby is 8 weeks and when I try and comfort him he fusses until I put him down making me feel like I’m not his safe place or he even likes me and it’s making me feel like a useless mess

Potty training boys

Anyone have tips for boys on the potty. My Lb is 14m and I’ve been trying to get him to use the potty since about 11m, he hates it and only sat fully clothed but we’re now getting somewhere and he will sit on the toilet but he will always stand and sit on it backwards?

My first was pooping on the toilet only from 1y and I would like the same for him but his poops arent routine he just goes when he goes and he’s yet to even wee on the toilet so just looking to see if boys are any different with toilet training and if there’s any tips to give :)

Do you have any help? If so how regularly?

I'm a SAHM with a 20 month old and 9 weeks pregnant. I have no family or village. Hubby works full time so can only help on weekends. My 20 month old still doesn't sleep through so we cosleep from 1am onwards. So I'm always on duty. I've started ro burnout. I want to get some help but have no idea how or where to begin. I live in Australia and a nanny is $60 an hour which is crazy. My kid isn't vaccinated so daycare isn't an option. There is no family daycares in our state legally.

Any ideas or suggestions?
