No Contact with Family

I’m 3 years no contact with my immediate family and wondering if you ever get to a point of just not caring anymore?
There’s nothing that would cause me to rekindle contact with them, but some days you just need your mum, but not your mum.. if that makes any sense 🫣

Yeah I’m like this with my bio dad

Been on and off contact with my bio dad from 13-19 then no contact. saw him once when I was 21, I’m 25 now and have personally finally gotten over not having those feelings. My father in law is amazing and is such a loving grandpa there is finally no need to have those feelings. When i need my dad i call him because i know he will be there and has the last 6 years more than my bio father ever has. It’s been so healing having him in my life, knowing he loves being my dad and by choice not because he has to.

Same here. I didn’t even tell them that I had my baby because I feel like they’ll try to sneak their way back in my life again. I’m regret that I even let them around my other babies.
Also any older people just reminds me of my mom so I don’t like old people now lol or someone older than me which reminds me of my sis

I haven't talked to my siblings in almost 7 years. I tried once with my sister but to no avail, she was just as toxic as ever. I dont miss them I dont really care to let our kids know each other, my kids have wonderful cousins they will grow up around on my dad's side of the family. My sister definitely doesnt feel the same way as I do, she tries so hard to meddle in my life to the best of her abilities. Luckily everyone in my life has no affiliation with her except our mom which I keep at arms length/low contact.

Been no contact with my bio dad for 11 years, and limited contact with my bio mom for 3 years. I’m still struggling with loosing those relationships but not the person if that makes sense.

It hasn’t gotten better or easier with time. I’m in therapy and processing the losses in a healthy way.

Making new connections is helping heal me a lot.

I’m six years into no contact with my family too. I’m much more at peace now but I wasn’t 3 years ago if that’s any consolation x

How can I share this with my husband?

I wanna tell my husband about a way that he's making me feel, but I want to say it in a way he's not gonna flip it or get defensive. So some back story our sex life is ok but not as frequent as HE would like it. I haven't ever really been a sexual person like it's good, but I truly feel I could go without it for the rest of my life. Plus with some feelings of resentment towards him and having such a busy life and stress on me I'm often not in the mood or just exhausted. Now it really hit me last night that I often don't do the things I want or enjoy when I finally have free time after the kids go to bed, and the reason is because he feels like anytime that is finally free is our time and we could be being intimate or whatever. But that leaves me usually feeling like if I say I'm too tired to have sex then I should be too tired to crochet or read a book, etc. so I should just not do what I want and go to bed because otherwise I have to hear him say that I'm just not prioritizing him. And I just don't feel like I should look at the time and see that I have an hour to myself finally but before I can give it to myself I need to give HIM some of that time also, usually leaving me with no time or like 10min. How can I tell him that this is how I feel, it's been giving me anxiety for the last 5 years living like this.

Gym time

I'm two months postpartum and I want to start working out. I'm trying to figure out how to ease my way back into the gym. I was thinking about Chole Ting, but her workout videos are pretty intense. I'm also a single mom, so I'm trying to figure out how to fit in workout time between feedings.

Happy maternity leave

While I’m on maternity leave, my husband has been telling people at work about the conflicts in our family, and one of his friends suggested that he buy me a ticket to Ukraine so I could go there and die. It sounds almost absurd to say it out loud, but the funny part is that I actually found out about this from my husband himself. How am I supposed to feel about that?

Do Real friends exist?

I honestly can say I’m truly hurting today. I’m always the person that reaches out, check on others, give my last no matter what I have going on. To go from have friends supporting you during pregnancy, being there for you, there after baby is born to just dipping is heartbreaking and really hurts. I may not be able to go every
Where all the time but you can still invite me. It’s crazy to me how people just up n leave like it’s nothing. I’ve tried to make new friends but honestly it’s not easy after being hurt so much I’m truly tired of the friendship hurt 😭💔

I’m pregnant and want advice 🩶

Me and my guy have been together for 5 years. We have a son and now we have a baby girl on the way which I’m pretty excited about because I’ve always wanted to be a mom . But here’s the problem my guy hates his baby mama. He will not talk or communicate with her because maybe over 15 years ago she gave their kids up for adoption. He was incarcerated at the time and because he told her he didn’t want to continue a relationship with her and only wanted to co parent she got mad and gave the kids away so he don’t want anything to do with her but she calls from different numbers nonstop playing on his phone and the way she is getting his number is looking it up and paying for it online . She pretends to be someone else to try to talk to him about their kids, but the kids lived with their foster parents . So is it wrong that he doesn’t want to talk to her anymore because of the matter. Also, his kids are over the age of 17 . I always see posts that when a person don’t get along/Hate their baby mama or baby daddy is usually a red flag, but I just wanted to get some advice here to see if you guys would agree so that way I can know how to talk to him about the situation.
