My partner was great whilst on paternity. We were lucky and he was able to take 5 weeks off which was a huge help to me recovering from a csection and being a first time mum. However now it feels like im doing everything. He works shift work and is currently on an 8 day stretch with a variety of shift times. I get it, work is tiring but so is looking after a baby with very little sleep. He'll make me lunch before he goes to work or offers to let me go back to bed but by that point im too awake to sleep enough before baby will need fed again. I want him to help more but idk what he can do to help. I breastfeed and am cosleeping with baby so most nights hes through in the spare room.

I breastfeed and co sleep too. Me and partner were in seperate rooms but recently we've moved into one room (we can fit both mattresses in). Baby wakes at 6am, I feed her then wake my partner up. He takes her downstairs while I go back to sleep and he gets ready for work. He brings her up to bed when she gets tired (between 7.30-7.45 ish) and leaves for work by 8. He also brings me up a coffee at that time too. Baby goes to sleep and I try to too. In the evening we get her ready for bed and then my partner spends some time with her, usually in the garden for about half an hour. Then I feed her to sleep while he washes up/ tidies downstairs. Once she's asleep I'll either cook, watch TV, go art stuff while he plays games etc or we spend time together. At the weekend he takes her out for a few hours (I feed her before and he takes pumped milk) so I can have a break and then I'll try and do the same at some point on the weekend so he has a break too

Completely sympathise with you on this! When I know my partners got a massive stretch of days coming the dread I feel knowing im going to be solo parenting on minimal sleep is horrible. When he is here he will offer the same with going back to bed for more sleep but I am the same as you! He takes her out quite often to give me an hour to myself and really we just take turns through the day with her. It does feel like you are doing it all on your own though a lot of the time!
Hello mamaās
I feel bad I havenāt sent my eldest 4 year old to reception. The reason I have done so is, he canāt put on his coat, socks, shoes, or trousers. I help with that and itās my fault because I find it easier to get done with as I have 2 younger kids.
I donāt want my child to be a burden to the teachers and for them to do a job thatās suppose to be a parents job to teach their kids.
I also came from a family where all my siblings and myself started from year and skipped reception as well as nurseries.
I really want to break that cycle but Iām also scared to send him to school. Any mothers on the same boat and what did you do to deal with situation?
Prior to my eldest, I had 3 miscarriages and Iām scared of loss. I donāt want him to get hurt.

I know this will divide people but Iāve been buying the 4 month old food pouches for my 4 month little boy and giving him a little as he was showing an interest.
Has anyone else done this or any advice or tips and tricks

My 2.9 is being a devil.
Like it's becoming unbearable. Screaming at me, back chating, crying screeching when she doesn't get her way. Never listens. Nursery is also having a hard time with her.
I recently had a baby. How do I manage her behaviour when nothing works. Nothhhhing works.
When is this tantrum phase over....

My first is a girl, she is 4 and is a dream. My son is 3, as the weeks go by he is getting more and more boisterous, high energy, won't listen, lashes out when he's kicking off, throws absolutely everything, destroys pretty much anything he touches. I'm currently pregnant with my second boy..and I'm terrified to be honest. The idea of having two boys, 3 years apart, is really filling me with dread. I wouldn't say I'm a natural boy mum, I've really tried to embrace all the boy things he likes and try to understand boys more so I can do right by him, but I will say it doesn't come naturally to me, I do it because I love him so much.
Has anyone got two boys? What are your experiences? I want to feel better about having two, but I'm open to all experiences!
And if anyone has any advice on how best to bring high energy chaotic boys up, I'm all ears!

Hi looking for some advice!
My 10m old has decided to cut four teeth all at the same time š she obviously in discomfort & thankfully teething powder are working wonders for her.
However since she started cutting these four she has started biting - thankfully just me & her dad.
Weāve started telling her āno bitingā or āno teethā & give her a toy to bit instead of us which sometimes works.
Is there anything else anyone can suggest for us I would hate for her to bite anyone else at playgroups etc.

Hi all! We just got back from our 4-month pediatrician appointment, and they mentioned that we can start introducing food! I was a little surprised because I always thought you were supposed to wait until 6 months š
have you started solids yet, or are you planning to wait? If you did start around 4 months, how did you begin and what foods did you start with? Any advice or tips would be appreciated! š„¹š¤
