Hey ladies.
I am only breastfeeding my baby and I would like to go out for a longer walk/shops, but I don't feel confident breastfeeding outside. So I am seeking some advice on how I can feed my LO with breast milk only in public. Thank you.

Are there any local breastfeeding groups in your area? They're great for advice and for building up confidence feeding in public

Hello! My advice is treat it as exposure therapy and just go for it! I was so nervous the first few times, but every time I breastfeed him somewhere new I feel like I’ve conquered that area if that makes sense haha. It’s lovely not having to worry about a bottle. If anyone stares they can do one!
You’ve got this <3

I started with trying it whilst some one was with me at known breastfeeding friendly places, like in the park whilst my daughter played and then M&S cafe.
Definitely an exposure therapy type deal. Personally I went without covers as I knew faffing around trying to arrange them would stress me out more.

Find a private place where you feel safe enough to rest to nurse. Over time you may lose some of the care you have right now 😂 it gets stressful.

In the beginning I loved the tip of wearing a button down shirt but to not open the top buttons! You open from the bottom and leave the top ones closed, that way your shirt covers you up a little bit but you can easily adjust the coverage and make sure you can still see your baby :)

I was the same at first now ive gotten so much more confident! I found places like next, john lewis, etc had breast feeding rooms so that helped ease me in to public feeding. Breastfeeding groups also massively helped and the best bit of advice I got from them was to feed infront of a mirror and you will see how little you actually show when feeding and how much it just looks like your cuddling your little one!

There’s so many covers you can get now, start out with a cover then slowly start wearing different things in different scenarios x

When I was breastfeeding I was walking down the street with my boy on my breast. I did cover but I didn’t care to much because I’m feeding my child. If you want to put some breast milk in bottles for when you’re travelling that’s also an option.
We’ve Co slept for two weeks tomorrow and ive managed to get him into his carrycot!! Feeling so happy cant wait for a bit of proper sleep tonight 🤣

Has anyone turned their breast milk into jewellery? I’ve seen ads for stores in Canada and the US but would love to know if anyone’s used a uk jeweller and
get some recommendations.

I know it’s a very personal choice and it’s recommended to until they’re at least 6 months old but our baby can definitely sense we’re in the room and overnight especially during their light sleep, I’m convinced I’m waking them up. Have you noticed any improvement to their sleep if you have decided to sleep independently?

Mums, I’m honestly at the end of my wits with the crying 😭
My little one is 8 weeks old and lately he seems to cry so much. I’m finding it really overwhelming and stressful.
I feel awful saying this, but I’m finding it really hard to enjoy motherhood at the moment because so much of the day feels like trying to settle a crying baby.
For anyone who went through a really fussy/crying phase around this age — when did it start getting better for you? I just need some hope that this phase does pass. 🤍

What time are people putting their little one to bed for the night ? Struggling to know when to bring his bedtime earlier or if we should just go off the time that he wakes up from his last nap?
