Hi. I'm expecting and when baby is due I'll have a newborn and a 2 1/2 year old. Any suggestions on what I should do for prams? The issue is that, currently, my toddler is too heavy to carry and when he doesn't want to walk he just stops and I'm stuck. Doesn't help that he is used to dad carrying him. Any with similar age gaps have any recommendations? Either double pram, buggy board, hammock thing? I'm not the strongest so the idea of a double pram scares me for how hard it'll be for me to push. But I have no idea what ill do if I don't get anything and just make him walk and he doesn't and I'm stuck x

I’m die to have my second in January and my little girls 3 this month, I’m going for a buggy board rather than a double pram, my little one also has a balance bike, she will go anywhere on that thing it’s so good if you’re wanting them to walk/not be carried, atm I do have a pram for my little one but will be using a buggy board once baby is born xx

Buggy boards can be a good idea to save your arms when he gets tired, or they do make some pretty lightweight double strollers these days! You just might want a tandem so it's not too unbalanced. I looked at the Joie Evalite before my son decided he'd be good at walking because that was only like 10kg and had good reviews! 3rd option is a decent baby carrier for your newborn so your son can have the pushchair if he needs it? Thankfully my son became quite a good walker a few months before my daughter arrived so we haven't needed anything so depending on how long you have before you're due it might be worth waiting to see how his walking progresses? X

I got an icandy peach 7 as it can be used as tandem or has a built in ride on step for toddler
Hey everyone,
I have just bought the Joie GTI spin car seat for my 10 month old but having major issues with her head leaning forward when she falls asleep…
I’ve got the reclining back on the car seat as much as it will go, and think that the head rest is at the right level.
Does anyone else have this problem and know what I can do about it? or whether it is just the car seat in general?
Thank you x

So I’m 8 weeks pregnant. My youngest just turned 1 August 10th I also have a 7 yr old 4 yr old and a 2 yr old. I told my mom I was pregnant only because eventually she would notice. But yesterday she said something that bothered me then tried to flip it. Basically she was like “ the nurse told you your last pregnancy that your body was under stress because you keep having babies back to back “ “ I hope this one doesn’t kill you “ I hope this one doesn’t take you out “ so it didnt dawn on me till she hung up the phone . in my mind I’m like that’s really fucked up to say. She says I took it in the wrong context but how??? I told her actually by her saying that I could be very traumatized worrying about if I’m going to die or not. She’s like “ well I’m traumatized because of what the nurse told you last yr “ like wtf now it’s about her. Please share your thought.

How seriously should we be taking nap times and wake times? My LO is 12 weeks old and I take her wake times seriously but so much so that I will stay home all day because I want her to nap properly given how short the wake windows are. My partner takes them lightly, and says she’ll sleep on the go (idk how when she hates her pram and will only sleep if I babywear.) Am I overcomplicating things or is he underestimating things?

When do babies get “set” nap times. I know they will be slightly difference but not sure when they get into a routine

My baby girl is almost 11 weeks old and over the last week or so her false starts at night have gotten worse! Once she is asleep at night she generally only wakes once or twice for a little feed, but it can take hours to get to that point.
I just want to soak it all up so the ‘1 nap a day in the bassinet’ hasn’t been happening consistently, so I know this is the first thing to start doing.
At bedtime (whatever that is 🥴) I am feeding, changing, and rocking her to sleep and then transferring - which again, I know isn’t helping the false starts.
I just cannot let her get so upset/distressed before sleeping! How do I make these changes without just leaving her to work out that she needs to sleep?
Any tips would be much appreciated!
From one tired mumma and one cuddly baby 🥹
