Does anyone know if partners can stay with while giving birth in the hospital for a night or more?

Partners aren’t allowed to stay over because you’re put on a ward with other women, unless you’re staying for more than 1 night after having a C-section then they do sometimes allow partners to stay with you

I got told no unless you are in a high risk room, apparently there was some sexual harassment going on ☹️ sad that some creeps have to ruin it for everyone!

Just had my baby there in August. Partners can stay during labour, once baby is born it is visiting hours which is 8am - 11pm. If baby is born outside of visiting hours they can stay with you on the ward for 1 hour before leaving x

I was moved to a room as I had sepsis after c section and husband was allowed to stay, but before when I was on the ward and they didn’t know I was poorly he had to go home x

I got admitted I'm March the night before my c-section. I had to stay alone. I told them I will need support with baby after my c-section. They moved me to my own room around 5 am. Had the section in the afternoon and my partner was able to stay for the 2 nights we stayed. They did say if there was room they will give me one but not guaranteed. I had my c-section under general anaesthetic. X

Mine did

I had an induction so I think it depends but when I was on the induction ward they let my partner stay even though it was the ward. He wasn’t the only partner there. Then we got moved to our own room and he was allowed to stay then too. They did move us into our own room after I gave birth and he was told he could stay but then in the middle of the night when he’d gone home to sort the dog, they moved me to a ward and said he couldn’t come back till visiting hours so he sadly didn’t get to stay with us for our first night. We were home the next though thankfully.
Was told I have a low lying placenta at my 20w scan(5mm from cervix) and when I asked them if it was ok to fly the next week (3h flight) they were a bit vague so now I am confused. Has anyone been flying with a very low lying placenta?

Good morning all,
I am 41 weeks pregnant and still waiting, I had a little mild pain since week 38 , but still no sign of the delivery, my feet started to swallow specially the right one. Is this normal?

We had our private gender scan last week at 15w+4 at window to the womb and found out we are having a little girl! 🌸 after 2 early losses previously, I can’t help but feel nervous to buy things for her. My family are so excited and have already bought a few things. I keep saying let’s get to 20 week scan then we can buy things properly. Has anyone else started to buy things yet??

Had our 20 week scan today - have to go back in 2 weeks as couldn’t do all the anatomy they needed due to baby being so curled up and tucked away.. anyone else had this? Sonographer said everything she could see was fine but I’m stressing 😓

Provider didn’t discuss this with me last visit and i just saw results in portal. I was 35 weeks last friday when i had a growth scan (i also have gestational diabetes) but it says estimated gestational age is 33 weeks with the measurements. It also says suspected placental insufficiency. But at the appt the doctor spent 2 mins with me and said everything is fine?? Anyone else had this and things were ok?? I’m now freaking out

Hi ladies,
How are we getting rest to reset the nervous system when you are alone with a toddler?
My husband is out from 8-530 and I am exhausted..
