Rest

Hi ladies,
How are we getting rest to reset the nervous system when you are alone with a toddler?

My husband is out from 8-530 and I am exhausted..

Hello hun! Sending so much love.

It’s a work in progress for sure, but I’m making an effort daily. I take small moments for slow breathing, yoga or movement. And by small, I mean 5-10 minutes. Work with what your capacity actually is vs where you want it to be. Honor yourself. Take time to do very simple things vs the big things that we want to do. You’re doing great momma! Deep breaths and just flow through it! 🥰

I try to get up an hour (but most of the time it ends up being 30 minutes or so) before the baby and breathe. Meditation and yoga have become a must. When baby naps and I’m feeling particularly wired or uneasy, I take 10-30 minutes to meditate. Evening times I make tea, sit down with a book, and have my time for 30 minutes to an hour before I start bed time routine. Gym day care once or twice a week for a yoga class. During the day, in the heat of the moments, try to remember to find your breath. You’ve got this mama. Sending love

Boy or Girl??

This is a potty shot scan pic from my 20 week scan - we had a private scan at 17 weeks and were told one gender. Fast forward to 20 week scan and we have just been told the opposite gender.
Would love anyone’s opinions on what gender we are having?! X

Ultrasound at 20 weeks

Am I wrong for being a bit upset? So right when I found it I was pregnant, before I even had a Obgyn visit…I was having pretty bad one-sided abdominal pain. I had went to the ER three times because of it. The first time I was diagnosed with pregnancy of unknown location, so basically a possible ectopic. I had gotten ultrasounds three times the first two times it was still too early to see anything and the third time I went they were able to locate the pregnancy in the uterus. I was around six weeks at the time they could see the pregnancy.Am I wrong for asking my OBGYN for an ultrasound? The Three ultrasounds I did get at the ER were only to confirm location and I didn’t get to see anything at all the monitor was turned away from me each time and couldn’t even ask questions as the ER doctor would explain what the technician seen the whole time. They said pregnancy was in the uterus but said the heartrate of 108 was a little low for that gestational age. and I asked my obgyn if I could get a routine ultrasound and they obviously seen the 3 ultrasounds on my mychart and said that they only usually do one and I won’t be getting one until 20 weeks. So because I went to the ER and got a bunk ass ultrasound I’m now unable to see how things are progressing at almost 9 weeks. I don’t even know if the baby is still growing. When I lived in Michigan before I moved and with my first child I got an ultrasound too many times to count. I guess I’m just disappointed

Induction and low percentile

I got sent for a growth scan today due to the bump measurement not changing in 2 weeks. Been today and they said baby is measuring 4th percentile. I’m 38 weeks and haven’t had any previous growth scans due to the bump growth always following the chart and being low risk. They’ve said baby needs to come out ASAP so they offered me an induction. I’ve had this now and it was painful but it doesn’t last very long! Very proud of myself for going through with it! Is anyone else going through this? They are estimating baby is 5 and a half pounds so I’m trying to be positive as myself and my husband and our sisters were all 6lb or under. I wasn’t expecting a big baby. The concern from the doctors is that the baby’s head is 1 percentile and they can’t see an obvious reason as to why. They have no other data to go off, as I haven’t had a scan since 20 weeks where I was 50 percentile. Really hoping the induction works and I don’t need a c section! 🤞

Reduced movements

Hey! I am 38 weeks and my baby is always very very active but today seems a bit less than normal. I still can feel him moving but less. Would you consider this a reason to call the triage?

C-Section mums - what was the most 'painful' day?

I'm having my c-section next week, after having had a natural birth last year. I'm not actually worried about the procedure itself, more about what to expect after. What would you say was the worse day, and when would you say you really started to feel better? Thanks so much!
