Transition to 2 kids is killing me ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Anyone else totally overstimulated?? I never imagined it would be so hard! 3.5 week old and 2y9m old and the absolute exhaustion is making it soo hard to cope with the two of them! I feel bad writing this but OMG! One is constantly on the boob and the other never stops talking or jumping or whinging. Today she did a poo on the floor, peed on the pouffe and bit my husband ๐Ÿ†˜๐Ÿ˜ญ I know its normal for the toddler because its a big adjustment but it doesnt make it easier to deal with day to day. Then she goes to bed and its up all night with the baby ahhhhhh. I feel like this is going to kill me! Hope its not just me ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€

Itโ€™s not just you..Iโ€™m in a similar situation. I have a 2y2m old and a 3 week newborn. We donโ€™t have much family support around and itโ€™s sooo exhausting! I have requested an extra day in my daughterโ€™s nursery. Youโ€™re not on your own. Everyone keeps saying it gets easier but when your in the moment itโ€™s difficult to see past it. Surviving minute by minute ๐Ÿ˜‚

100% we are only human. I have a 17 year old who is an absolute sweetheart so I can understand how quickly time flys. Driving lessons vs nappyโ€™s is definitely an interesting stage in time ๐Ÿ˜‚ this will pass and you will look back and think I did survived and so did the kids ๐Ÿ˜‚ this forum is massively helping to keep me sane also!

Your not alone. It is not easy at all. I have a newborn and a 2.9 year old also.

The worst is when you have the baby crying and the toddler throwing a tantrum screaming at the same time ๐Ÿ˜…

I must say this has made me realise I'm good with 2 kids. Don't think I could mentally handle a third.

I feel bad for feeling so relieved the days my toddler goes to nursery. But it's soooo needed.

Yes we can look at arranging a walk in a few weeks time once I dust off my trainers ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes it's hard to adjust to 2, mine is 3 weeks and and 1 and a half! Trying to adjust and figure out how to get into a routine with them both is very hard.

Just simple things like not being able to leave a room with them both in for worry what my toddler might do to him. 2 under 2 I knew it would be hard but wow!!

It is such a mad juggle... Really similar position over here, and I'm glad she is in some sort of chdcare every weekday or I don't know what I'd do (and don't know what I'll do in half term). I keep telling myself it has to get easier.

Omg yes ๐Ÿ˜ญ 3 week old and 3yo and I'm exhausted and having a lot of "how tf do I cope with this?" moments. I feel so guilty when I get snappy or lose my temper but I am so overstimulated and tired.

No itโ€™s v hard, Iโ€™m in the December 2023 group too! My son is in nursery thank god as weโ€™ve just had twins a week ago, I wouldnโ€™t be able to manage them with my son at home giving him the attention he deserves.

am i over reacting or ?

my bf just told me i need to go on walks because all i do is lay around and sleep... when i work full time still, manage to take the dog out when it's time and actively clean up around the house ?! i got upset bc it's like he's implying i don't do anything but sleep/ lay around but i only do on my days off... when all of it was a reminder to do his hair when he gets off work ? tb "you can go on a walk bc your body will be tired a lot some i'm not used, im playing around bc i used to burn 400+ calories a day".

Baby is not passing urine

My son is 13 months, had a fever over the weekend and had lighter nappies. Had HFMD the weekend before but that cleared up last week. Fever is down but he hasn't peed all day. Nappy this morning was so light and wee was concentrated and smelly. Have him electrolytes yesterday but today he's refusing. He's been drinking milk and water, but still no pee. He had a soiled nappy but no wee. He's also had reduced appetite. Vomited once yesterday. 111 referred me to my GP but they're going to close in an hour and are taking long to pick up anyways. Thinking to just take him to A&E? Im unsure when to wait until as I have no idea when he last actually peed, as he's been drinking today so should've weed

Anyone had something similar? I'm thinking it's different to the hand foot and mouth as the sores are gone but could it be related?
