Inconclusive scan

I had an early scan thinking i was further than I was, I was also about 5w4d and no embryo was visible. I went back 2 weeks later and there was ☺️ x

If youre 5 weeks, only seeing the sac is perfectly normal. Unfortunately when you have a scan that early on there is very little they can see which is why they've said you need another in a couple of weeks, so that they can give you a definite answer. If you ovulated late (from stress, illness, or any number of other reasons) your LMP is going to be less reliable. Its only used as a guide until you have your dating scan anyway.
I know its agony waiting for answers like this but it doesnt mean that anything is necessarily wrong at all, just early on. I hope you get answers soon 🙏

Both of my pregnancies, my first scan was a pregnancy in an unknown place as they couldn’t see anything. I thought I was further along than I was but both turned out ok. xx
